Looks like parliament will investigate what was said to the speaker to push him to take the labour amendment before the SNP one.Sir Keir made a mistake as any vote would make no difference to the Israeli Gaza problem and any embarrassment to labour would have been short lived. Hope he chooses better when he becomes PM but if he needs the SNP if it’s a hung parliament well good luck on that

Well it was a bit of an event as the Speaker deemed it necessary to apologise for creating a new convention as he feared for the safety of MP's.

Absolute mess. It's so sad. I read a report a few days ago where he called himself a sad drunk and that he was living in his agent's spare room. He had the talent to win it all during his career.
