Good Mate of mine had Tix for Glastonbury for him & his family last year & this year, and now next year🙄
Nought a 5 day pass & “bundle of Snow Patrol Tix” for “Lytham Festival......can’t see it happening🙄
Me & a load of my mates on here have Euro tix, can’t see fans being allowed in, I think it will be played “in bubbles” in England Only.
Can someone stop my pessimism??
PLEASE🤣🤣.......🚌🧡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Wish l could help with your pessimism but l really can’t see any concerts and attendances at football taking place till well beyond mid year. With borders being locked down and mutating variants beginning to pop up there is a greater need and priority to get the virus under control and herd immunity in place. Governments across Europe will not want to jump too early this time around.

Euros will be on but at a reduced attendance.

22k at the superbowl next week, shows it can be done.

Euros will definitely go ahead, we are playing football now so why not? might not be in the locations as planned and may not be any fans but the tournament will proceed.
Lytham Festival, who knows?

Think the Euros might be cancelled sadly or behind closed doors in one country.

Can’t see Lytham festival or any major outdoor event going ahead.

Hope I’m wrong but I think even by summer they’ll still be some restrictions of some nature making these events not possible.

Don't know how to post links, but have tickets for this year's Rebellion. The Rebellion site put up a post about Glastonbury cancellation and the fact it's a different beast to other events due to its size. So with events like Rebellion and the Lytham festival ( along with the fact they are in August) they can wait that bit longer to see how things are before cancelling. Rebellion organisers are still hoping to get it on given the vaccination roll out plus something about along with the council have secured a large outside venue. However also had tickets to see the Stranglers at Manchester apolo in November cancelled and arranged for this April. Its been cancelled again til Feb 2022. But let's hope with a bit of luck a forecast of good weather we both may get to go to our events. 👍👍👍

As per Angel and seaside, I'd say Lytham Festival was next to zero but with TV revenues it is perfectly possible that the Euros could take placed with no spectators or a limited number.

We're clearly trying to set up to host the Euros with the announcement of 10k fans by 17th May - the nature of the tournament is the worst timing ever considering it was going to be hosted all across European cities, I think the FA are attempting to convince UEFA that England should just host instead considering we're hosting the back end of the tournament at Wembley already.

Certainly be interesting if we do.

Lytham Festival looks unlikely from here but...
JUNE 21..End of curbs for all meetings & events. Life back to normal is what Boris said yesterday.

The reality is that the Promoter (ditto all the promoters of the main UK outdoor events) will be assessing the risks of continuing to plan for the show(s). The problem they have is that they have no insurance to cover govt restriction enforced cancelation nearer the show and this could potentially expose them to substantial costs ..... but the clock is ticking to start on the planning process ....

The other concern will be problems getting international artist parties in and out of the country. If you lose one day of a weekend festival then you are already well in the red. Whilst festival tickets are sold with a 'bill subject to change' caveat, replacing the headliner might invite refund trouble, obviously!!

Following the reveal of the June 21 date, and the expectation that the virus won't be causing any issues come mid summer, there will be a real temptation to continue as normal. These discussions will be ongoing and the decision will be delayed as long as possible whilst the situation continues to develop. The next couple of weeks will tell.

I’m not upset if Diana Ross is not touring this year but it might “Tiuch Me In The Morning”......Ok......I’ll get my coat 🧥 🤣🤣🤣.....🚌#88

It’s a shame Glastonbury’s not going ahead, don’t know if i’m over arsed about euros....especially if played in empty stadiums, plus England will be the usual flops, will be massively hyped as per usual.....🤣..😎

I've just seen an update from Rebellion on their FB page. Cautiously optimistic about it happening this year. Whether as a full festival or scaled down or a mixture of indoor/ outdoor is up for grabs. They're working on the principle they're good to go but they have, and rightly so, tempered any ott enthusiasm. Talks ongoing wit the WG and council. Some mention of lateral flow tests, Covid vaccine passports etc etc. Let's hope there are no fuck ups between now and then.

We've just been booked to do an outdoor gig in mid September. Council says that they're happy for it to go ahead but it will depend on people's observation of the rules or stupidity, I suppose.

Live Nation (the owners of Lytham Festival) pushing loads of gigs in the Sunday papers......but nothing mentioned on Lytham 🤔
As said....Miss Ross not touring anywhere and has moved her dates......Duran Duran, Lionel & the Ginger kid don't have any other dates......and I doubt any will be making a 'one off' visit to Lytham when the Government wont allow gatherings over 10,000 maybe even after June 21st...?

I'm not saying Live Nation are happy to take all your money now......and if it doesn't happen......promise you tickets for next years line up.
But I would prefer to have £1m of punters money in my bank account........than cancel closer to the date and lose money......
But Sshhhhhhhh 🤫 Just don't mention the word.....refund 😟
