Good on the Irish

My Dad used to have a great reply to that shipping bullshit.....Being a young Irish kid during the war.
He would say that towns would put their lights on, so it formed an arrow pointing towards England, so the Luftwaffe knew which direction to go....

He loved telling it because those stupid enough to take the bait didn't have any basic idea of Geography but they loved the idea that the Irish hated the English....Even though 70,000 southern Irish joined the British Army during WW2.......

Still, I love the thought that the German navy hung around in the Irish sea waiting for shipping......that was coming down the North Sea & Channel

Now....Ever heard the story of the Welsh and the Waffen SS
