GRANT WARD TO PLAY UPFRONT ?

Why not its time we tried something new, apparently has good control. Rotherham wanted him. Along side Madine instead of Delf.
He should be fit by now for a full debut would have thought.

What would that tell Nuttall? Agree 100% Fonz is not the answer up front and never has been.

Ward is a right-winger by trade and he has scored a few goals from that position -- his best year being with Ipswich Town in 2016-17 when he scored six. Since then, he's not done so much, and his year out with a cruciate ligament injury obviously took more out of him than we expected.

He's not imposed himself on games with us so far. I'd rather he upped his game in his preferred position and scored goals from there. The same goes for our deputy strike team of Madine, Delfounso and Nuttall, but how we 'up their game' I have no idea. We've also loaned out Ryan Hardie to Plymouth -- he's not doing too bad.

Looks like a low risk gamble that hasn't paid off.
Can't see him being here for the first day of pre-season training come the summer.

Would rather Nutty starts tbh. Something to prove and could be a good chance for him to change peoples opinion on him.

Ward’s another one that’s puzzled me,Rotherham was about to make him one of the clubs highest earners before we made a move yet he can’t break into a side that’s won 1 game in 14,I’m presuming he’s struggling with his fitness prior to joining us he had a serious knee injury that kept him out for 8 months, hopefully he can recapture his form.
