When I first started going to Bloomfield Rd, the game would finish at 4.40. I'd be picking up a Green by 5.15 in Talbot Square.

I remember delivering The Green and The Pink when I was a paper lad in KIrkham
From memory there was only about 10 of each on my round so looking back it seems loyalties were split from the folk of KIrkham.

HT of 25 mins, ok, but cut the 90 mins down to 60 with a break inbetween each half of a half, lets call them “quarters”. Introduce rolling substitutes, highten the goalposts and award 1 goal if you get the ball over it and 3 goals below it. Make all pitches 100yds long and divide them into 10 “down” areas etc. etc. Going to the match love, will be back on Monday…….

Longer time to drink, time to go for a piss. Cheerleaders, Hot Dogs and Pretzels can't see a problem if I am honest. Shorter queues with no sweaty goon shoving you in the back so he can another get another pie and pint down his neck before HT kicks off. Whats not to like?
