Hamilton, Evans and 4 squad spots

I'm sure there are a few more people would like to change but think in this particular window, if we're looking to offload anyone it should be Evans and/or CJ.

CJ yesterday did what CJ does. He is a pure pace merchant with little to no final product or even ability for a short pass sometimes. Yesterday, he has 3 good chances, one is right at the keeper, one he is offside, the 3rd he makes a short pass to their defender that somehow deflects to Fletch. This is far too common and we can't keep him around just on the off chance he decides to have his 1 in 15 blinder of a game slightly more often. We need someone on the left that matches or is close to the energy and ability of Imray.

Evans hasn't looked good for a while and yesterday he was poor. Giving the ball away poorly in some rough positions. It was after one such moment that he was subbed off. He also doesn't give enough passion on the pitch to bring those up round him. I want Casey levels of give a shit from a defensive minded centre mid.

Offloading either one of those leaves us with 4 squad spaces available and we absolutely must have a full squad by the end of Jan. For me, that's a Centre Mid, LWB, CB and a Striker (even if some are just loans for now). If you offload both, then get a 2nd CB in?

CJ, when he joined us, it looked like he would be ripping it up, but since his injury he has quite frankly been stealing a living off us.

The 1 in 15 may have applied last season, but this season it's a 20-minute spell in one game, and he has more goal involvements in our net.

Why the coaching staff can't see his failings in our half is mystifying, and if he plays, he should only be in our half to stay on-side.

Evans was awesome when signed, but now it's really shocking to see what he has become, which again is mystifying!

Let’s have a dig at CJ thread for a change!! Our best player yesterday. He didn’t hit the goalie the goalie pulled off good save.
If you thought CJ was our best player, you need your eyes seriously testing. Also wasn't a purely pop at CJ thread, I also said Evans is crap and the point was that those are areas we need to strengthen.

Just surprised the CJ fan club haven't been on lauding what on the face of it was a better effort in their half.

You missed CJ Hopeless from your poor list from yesterday, with 4 attempted crosses, and yet another big chance was missed.

Cross 1. 10 yards in front of our forwards and almost out for a throw-in on the other side of the pitch.

Cross 2. Miss-hit, and so not enough pace on it.

Cross 3. Passed to the first defender.

Cross 4. Not memorable in any way, for me to recall it at this time.

Managed a couple of decent blocks in defense but his usual pretending track back.

One shot of him watching the action in our box from the edge of the area, and it was like someone prodded him into action eventually, embarrassing!

There is a reason he has only 4 goal involvements in the opposition net.

CJ was our key player yesterday with his pace giving us our few chances. Imray had his hands full with Philogene, and if he wants to play in the Prem, he needs to be better against such players.
Being able to run fast is a great attribute. As I say, CJ is a fantastic athlete, but in posession he is extremely wasteful and often puts us in danger with his passing

yep, some people seem to associate pace and being fast as meaning you're good at football. That of course is a good attribute to have but in a game called football it's what you do with the ball that counts.

CJ will not be gone this window. He was actually one of our better players yesterday. Not only did beat their full back and get in crosses or shots, but he also made a number of important defensive interventions, especially in the air.
As others have said, we have more urgent problems elsewhere, particularly defence and centre midfield
If his contract is indeed up in the summer, even more reason to get him moved on now tbh. Get some money for him.

I agree. Evans is #1 on my list to depart but we desperately need 4 incomings i would say.

And so, in the case of CJ, I think any reference to having that spherical thing at your feet, whilst also being blessed with that all-important attribute of pace, is basically a load of balls...

Not sure what i was watching if people are saying Hamilton was our best player yesterday.
We need to move deadwood out now and i would include Lyons along with the 2 mentioned above.
In summer would then look at replacing Brown, Bloxham ,Ihiekwe unless their is dramatic improvement between now and then.

Pace is overrated in the game because it’s a much easier trait to spot than football intelligence, sadly for us CJ has pace (this is decreasing btw) but has very little intelligence. There are countless examples of this. This isn’t slagging him, just being honest.

Evans has been a moody bastard for a while, walking off being subbed when we are losing, the weird moody donkey celebration v Hudds when he scored, just gives off the impression he’s having himself. He’s great on the ball when he’s on it but his lack of mobility restricts him massively both offensively and defensively. He can’t step forward with the ball and he can’t cover play, which is why he gets so many yellows.

They’ve both not been starting when we have everyone fit so hopefully Evatt has clocked it & we can upgrade on both.

CJ was our best player yesterday in attack and defensively, but that doesn't suit some of the agendas on here. His contract is up in June but we have a 1 year option and I think we will take it but I don't think they should. Evans, like 20's said is a good player but he clearly doesn't like being with us, he wanted to leave in the summer I was told, so he will be gone. He was terrible yesterday and him applauding the Ipswich supporters and ignoring us made things pretty clear.

Pace is overrated? you are one clueless gob shite, that and your other comments just shows the knowledge you have of the game, this has nothing to do with CJ Hamilton or any other player in the squad, you must of played of played at a good level to think that shite up.
What a cock you are with a capital C

Who do you think our best player was?

Surprised Evans is still here tbh.

As for CJ, I need names of who we should play ahead of him that are fit and ready to start. Serious names please.

You are turning into the biggest bellend on this site. Who was better than him yesterday?
Actually its anyone like you who has been corrected already today and not a peep since some facts on his performance yesterday were pointed out.

See how you managed a slur within 7 words of your reply, so I automatically win!
I thought that chat we had, you might have learned a lesson, and I more or less warned you how I bait melts, and you still jumped on an unbaited hook on the shooting thread in your TDS state on the other board.

I've learnt plenty about you the past few days, none of it good.

We have far more problems than just CJ
I can't argue with that - but those which he does, irrefutably, 'bring to the table', significantly outweigh the combined substance of those with which others are unfortunately encumbered. Hence why there is always such an ongoing debate surrounding the general question of CJ, and, more specifically, whatever it is he does, or, alternatively, fails to do, for the club?

You're one of the core problems reference CJ, you refuse to acknowledge the 20 performances which are 2/3/4s out of ten. And then one slightly better performance, 0 goals and 0 assists by the way and you lose yourself. Yesterday is an average performance which he should be doing at L1 level and better. He still gave the ball away in a stupid position which they nearly scored from. He got in great positions against Ashley Young, who's 40 by the way but still to be commended and again shit the bed. The SINGLE good ball, he hit straight at the defender who mis controlled it. Be consistent and comment all the time and don't over inflate the performance when he plays as good as he should be.

If Josh Bowler is MOTM we have scored and most likely won the game.
If CJ Hamilton is MOTM, we wouldn't be certain that's happened. That's the difference.

Time to move on CJ.

I’ve said he needs to move on, I’ve said he wouldn’t start if our left sided defenders were fit, I’ve said he should be released in June but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t our best player on Saturday, he was and who else should have played in that position then. The crows sang his name numerous times and nearly everyone around me thought he was our best player. I just get fed up with the relentless rants by the same few people who consistently slag him off whatever he does yet ignore the he many mistakes other players make, you are one of the problems, not me, he does not deserve the vitriol he gets from the few of you time and time again, you’re bullies and angry and how does that help? I don’t pick the team, neither do you. So stop trying to tell me how to think and have a look at yourself you might learn something

Those Suffolk crows bring more to the party than the ones near me 🦅 🎶
