Hancock

With all due respect I actually laughed at loud at this! You really don't believe any of this do you LOL!??

Or did you have a Tory brain implant that renders you incapable of balanced thought and reason? It reads like a Tory Bot. In fact they'd probably love to have you. Crackers.
There`s no respect in that Mac.I don`t bother to take you to task as I easily could for some of the stuff that you post,I really can`t be bothered and prefer to avoid personal abusive posts like some of yours .

I certainly don`t support sleaze wherever it may be found but I also tire of the holier than thou sanctimonious types on here who never give any credit for anything ,are constantly on the lookout to find anything they can find to moan about. What a sad way to go through life. That`s all.

It might not be suspicious if he had owned the shares for years but it does not look good that he only acquired them last March. Very dodgy.

From his elderly mother, who was probably worried that she was going to die in the pandemic thingy that apparently was going on at the time, and didn't want to cause problems if that happened.

The problem is corruption is not limited to any political party or affiliation. The solution is the leaders of all political colours taking a moral stand not a political one.

The problem is that THERE IS NO F***ING CORRUPTION HERE WHATSOEVER and it's still somehow a story.

That's stretchier than Stretch Armstrong doing stretches on a stretcher.

'Son, I'm clearly going to die in this pandemic and can't be arsed doing a will, you definitely won't know any solicitors to advise on that kind of thing so here, have my shares now, clearly this will seem much more above board than inheriting them, we've just won an NHS contract by the way, which you won't know anything about obviously, how's your mate down the pub?'

Incidentally, I've just heard about a Nigerian royal family member who wants to transfer some money out of the country and just needs your bank account details, there's a big commission in it for you? He was definitely trustworthy because in his picture he's got a big fuck off Union Jack behind him.

Yes I fear he well might if he heard your views and intolerance.
Just what is intolerant about pointing out that a greedy politician has got his snout in the trough?

Your posts seem to suggest anyone in that position would be doing the same thing, as we’re all merely humans?

For the record. Some people, even though not perfect, have actually got considerably higher standards than you give them credit for.

1) No I don`t suggest that at all.As we know some do, many don`t.

2) SOME certainly have higher standards which is what we all hope for and some aspire to them but the sanctimonious always searching for faults in others types don`t impress at all.

If criticising those who deserve it, is deemed to be sanctimonious. Does that mean no one should ever be criticised?

Maybe we need a new kind of politics. No parties at all and every 5 years a raffle of over 18s for 600 seats to serve in Parliament for one 5 year term. Compulsory like jury service and any individual can only ever serve once.

Would be an interesting experiment. I realise logistically it wouldn't work but I'd like to see it from a human experiment side of things

The company in question: https://www.topwoodltd.co.uk

Document scanning/shredding storage company, based in Wales and presumably most of the business is in that area.

Based on the accounts I'd estimate £2m - £3m turnover per annum and perhaps £100k or so profit (depending upon directors' remuneration levels).

Turning to the ownership, Mr Hancock acquired the shares from a Mr & Mrs Carter, who acquired those shares when the company was formed, and who have thus held them for about 20 years.

Mrs Shirley Carter is Mr Hancock's mother.

The precise details are unknown to me but I suspect that Mr Hancock's role is occasional advice and to act as a casting vote in the event that his sister and her husband can't agree and I suspect that Mr Hancock receives little if any income from this shareholding.

So to summarise, a very small company with a small involvement with the NHS, the Secretary of State has properly declared the shareholding, receives no benefit from it, has no influence over Welsh NHS purchasing decisions (their primary geographical area) and no day to day involvement in English procurement.

If this is what passes for a scandal in this country then we are indeed blessed and should praise Boris and his government to high heaven.
They have contracts with the NHS in England too.

It would be interesting, the old saying is that the last people who should have power are those who seek it.
