Harrogate Town or Notts County?

Play off final tomorrow, winner gets a place in L2 next season along with Barrow & Bolton. Who ya wanna win? I’m not sure. I think Notts County are a club on stature & history that deserve a place in the football league but on the other hand I like to see smaller clubs achieve and I like Harrogate as a place.

The best team on the day for me although Harrogate would be a new ground if it came up in the Cups.
Notts County of course invented Juventus-what a story that was.

I hope Harrogate win it would be another breath of fresh air in the EFL and such a nice place to visit, however, Notts County are steeped in history and that might inspire the players

I'm going to go Notts County as they are one of those teams for whom nothing ever seems to go particularly well for and Harrogate is all very well to do and doesn't need league football. It's like Twickenham FC getting in the league.

Harrogate have been there or thereabouts for a while, so do deserve a chance. But Notts County is one the best away days there is. Tough one.

Having attended school in Harrogate I can assure you it is a far from genteel place! If promoted they will need to tear the pitch up as well.

I've only been once so I'm judging it completely unfairly. I had a stupidly long drive to get there, it was about 112 degrees and then I couldn't park for love not money.

We them preceded to walk round a loud of posh shops I didn't care about and I got really bored and bad tempered whilst my other half got steadily pissed in a stream of posh bars as I drunk lime and soda.

I then drove home whilst she slept in the car.

It is probably unfair to judge your home town thus, but none the less, Harrogate is on my enemies list.

Tbf, I'm from Wigan so I wouldn't worry about my view of anywhere else lol.

Harrogate for me. Been there countless time (family connections) and always look out for their results. Probably would have gone to Wembley tomorrow had circumstances been different.

Both!

But as others have said Harrowgate is a lovely place should we get the opportunity to visit.

Sat many a time in the usual traffic jam outside their ground. Always thought it looked so quaint.

Harrogate for me ,although they have already said they will have to share a bigger league ground if they win . Partly due to the stands and also the current artificial pitch they have .

My mate is a long suffering Harrogate fan and once said he’ll wear a dress to work if they get promoted 😁 .. something to look forward to after furlough!!

Capacity is similar to FTFC at 5k.
Manager was on talksport yesterday & the artificial pitch has brought in a lot of revenue through being available to the local community & in doing so increased gates. But they will rip it up if they win today.

Notts County simply because I've done the ground. Harrogate just makes getting the 92 done further away.
Crawley and Forest Green - when am I gonna get them done?

I've done Forest Green-nothing to write home about and the only pub is miles away. I went years with some grounds-like Bristol City- then you end up going nearly every season!

Been to Harrogate many times.
How on earth can a place be described as 'Too Gentile' to be in the EFL?
If they get there they deserve it.

Blackpool have been to Crawley. Think we lost. Forest Green were almost in the playoffs this year.

Indeed they have but I didn't go. Might be wrong but somewhere in my mind is that we lost 1-0 to a 90th minute goal from James Collins.

I was there but can't remember what happened after meeting up with the BASIL contingent ahead of the game.

I think you're right it was 1-0. The winner came from a foul on our 'keeper, I didn't think it was as late as that.

But my memory may be affected as we met up with Yorkshire Seasiders before the game......

It might not have been. Justone of those games when you're sat at home waiting/watching for news and you curse when you concede a late goal.

Do they get to meet AFC Fylde in the final? Just need to know so Wizz can extend his Sky subscription 😁 #fyldecoastfootball

Who'd have ever thought. A Conference play off final getting as big an attendance as the FA Cup Final the day before.😄
