We had to win at Wrexham and hope Crewe slipped up I think..We lost at Wrexham so didn't matter.

Pretty sure it was out of our hands when we played Darlo away last game under Steve McMahon..We had to win and needed Rochdale to draw or lose..

We could have been promoted automatically last day of 2006/7 season if Bristol City dropped points and we won at Swansea.

Yes, Rochdale drew nil nil I think and we won 3-1 at Darlington.

Amazing memories. And can't believe that was over 20 years ago!

Were Rochdale at Plymouth? Big Danny Shittu got a goal at Darlo if the old grey matter is working correctly. A grand day out!

He did along with a Wellens goal not sure who got the other. Not played them since as they disappeared into the abyss after that.

Not quite in 2010, but we made it that way by drawing 1-1. Swansea then needed to drop points and their game was still playing. Thankfully they did. Sort of goes under the radar we had to hover for a few mins on that result I think.

Lee Trundle had a late goal disallowed for offside too in that game. We were so close to just missing out.

It was disallowed for hand ball and they had a stone wall penalty turned down in injury time aswell. Looking at the highlights we were very fortunate Swansea didn’t win that.

Darlington away was a cracking atmosphere.some guy had the radio on next to me and if memory serves me right Tony Ellis hit the bar for Rochdale with seconds remaining.brilliant day.

YES I was at that one. Another sadly defunct football ground. The Feethams as i recall. they now play at a rugby club.
