Haz and Megs’ problem goes nuclear.

All very sad and unremarkable by the sounds of it, though no doubt it will be lapped up by the culture of celebrity fan club.

I’m no fan of the Royal Family, but there’s something pretty crass and dishonourable about getting paid to wash your dirty laundry in public and the ‘only’ reason this utter shyte is getting any air time is because of who’s laundry is being aired.

And “setting the record straight” by confirming it was her who made me cry and not the other way round.... Jeez!! Do people really care about that shit??

Hopefully now they’ve done the whole upper class ‘Jeremy Kyle’ routine, we will be spared any more of this bullshit.👍
Man says he doesnt care abour something after two paragraphs of apparent opinion.

No one is going to come out of this unscathed, except perhaps the Queen who is the last vestige of the traditional Monarchy. Anyone who watches the Crown will recognise the changes within the Royal family that have somewhat mirrored those in society.

There are some ludicrous inconsistencies in H&M's behaviour, but it's not rocket science to have a guess at what's going on. The great British press will do what they do, and the dumb British public will continue to prop up the chip wrappers.

It'll be a storm in a teacup, but H&M will need to keep chucking some petrol on the fire to keep their profile high and the dollars trickling in. Oh the irony ....

If same effort spent on this had been redirected to Nazanin Z-R, she’d be home by now.

Haz and Megs are not being paid at all... directly. They are doing it for several other reasons. Oprah is getting $7 million though. Yep. Unbelievable, eh? But OW is almost a Yankee version of royalty herself.

“confirming it was her who made me cry and not the other way round.... Jeez!! Do people really care about that shit?”.
Yep, a certain type of Royal fan does. I suppose it would seem misogynistic to say “middle-aged and geriatric women”. So I won’t.

You’ll see plenty more of Haz and Megs in the future. Apparently the OW show had 75 million viewers in the USA alone. So they have proven themselves as ratings winners. And it’s good gossip fodder for the masses in the UK also.

And they left here to lead a quiet life

Well, they all came out of the woodwork this morning. Every middle-aged black woman queueing to tell us how racist everyone in the Royal Family is, even though that wasn't what the interview was about. Worst of all was Patricia Goddard (whoever she is) telling us how white people can't understand and have no right to talk about racism and how people touch her (blonde) hair in supermarkets to see if it's real. Why do you have blonde hair Tricia? Is that not racist then? I'm sure if a white woman had dreadlocks or corn rows in her hair Tricia would be the first to whine.

Going back to the main issue, it appears that everyone in the world except Meghan knew how this would turn out. Seems she wanted to be Princess Megan and travel the world with her magic wand and her handsome prince curing all known problems. Stupid bxxxx.

The skin colour comment is just sensationalism to justify the interview. I have two nephews with a white father and black mother and three half Arab grandchildren. Of course I was interested what skin colour they would be, as were their parents. I’m pretty sure both Harry and Meghan would have speculated.

Imo, nothing to see here except a woman who sees a money making opportunity. Let’s not forget, she’s hardly popular with her own family because of her actions.
My wife is not 'black' but maybe 'of colour' - other than white. We have never discussed a label in all our years together. We love discussing the pigment of our kids skins, especially in summer. Unfortunately one of our daughters is my pasty white which regularly is red when the sun is out. Its an odd description by Megan as her proof to use, as we celebrate our differences and looking who got what genes in our kids is something to enjoy. It does not amount to be racist.

Totally agree.

That’s genuinely nice to read Cuthbert, but because they won’t discuss the conversation in detail we’ll never know the context.

Saw a bit of that and I agree that `Trisha` was hijacking the discussion as a vehicle for her own prejudices, and not in the most subtle of ways. Also found the comment (by Andrew Pierce, I think) that "the Queen couldn`t possibly be racist as she was the head of the commonwealth" rather risible.

I suspect that this has lit a tinderbox that may fan flames in many unpleasant directions, and the Royal family have got a three pipe problem on their hands trying to defuse this one. Their response should be interesting.

But the most important question to be addressed regarding the Royal family is still about Andrew and his alleged predatory penchant for underage girls...

Maybe the Royals will come out and say that Harry actually has no Royal blood in him.
So he can take a jump with Meg.
Sorry he already has, at least twice. 😉

Dave, perhaps he now wishes he hadn't any royal blood?
With the exception of the Queen herself, most of the others haven't set a brilliant example in terms of behavior and good leadership have they? Not helped, mind you, by the Palace machinery around them which has also been shown to be sadly lacking. I still remember the story about the dodgy butler to Charles, whose duties included putting the toothpaste on his toothbrush, even when he was an adult. Is it any wonder they are a dysfunctional family, out of touch and often arrogant.

I saw Tricia Goddard on the Piers Morgan talk show. She told of her experience of growing up in the 60s in a white area and the racism she encountered as a child. It was shocking and she even had it from teachers so I guess that's were her passion (or as some of you refer agenda) comes from. You can all bury your head in sand but racism was and is still common in this country. How the gutter press deal with Kate compared to Meghan is also very revealing.

A "three pipe problem" ! That's a phrase I haven't seen in a while.

Your last sentence is bang on, I think. This is just an embarrassing distraction really. All it has done is show up the Royal Family for the anachronism it is, and the Sussexes for the greedy, grasping pair that they are too. It's hard to feel any sympathy for any of them, and much easier to look at how they behave and want to disown the lot of them.

Give over. It's people like her that are the problem. Permanently racially abused black people spending their time looking for reasons to be offended. Yes Tricia you ARE a blonde black lady hijacking white culture. Do I care? Not a jot, but it's not me doing the faux racist victim routine.

And the reason Kate is treated well in this country is nothing to do with the 'gutter press'. It's because of her dignified manner.

Tricia Goddard is the problem because she was racially abused at primary school? Wow that's an interesting take, faux outrage eh? She's also been married three times to white men so clearly doesn't share the same racist views. The press took a totally different stance with them it had nothing to do with being dignified

The media and the public adored Meghan until they realised what she was all about. It's not a coincidence that even her own family have no time for her. Look at me I'm a private person. I don't want all this publicity. Ooh I'm suicidal. Keep looking

Kate, on the other hand, is a perfect example of how royalty should behave and is a great ambassador for this country.

An example of press treatment of Meghan Markle and it would seem that some at the palace shared Sarah Vine's disgusting and snide doubts. I am not at all surprised she sued the Daily Mail when she had the chance.

As if she contemplated suicide, give me a break, she’s an attention seeker, she had too much competition here. Then she thought she could swan off to America, via Canada, make a fortune and keep all the royal benefits. She couldn’t, so she’s spat her dummy out.

Watched the interview. Fascinating. It was well scripted and superbly choreographed. Bet they practised with Oprah and her team to get that interview spot on. Andrew you need to hire that team and get on Oprah.

So apparently the Royal family are an anachronism and their are 'racist' concerns. Well I will go to the foot of our stairs.

How do you respond to that racist label - no idea?

What was the colour of the baby ? Tell you what bet that was really 'hope the poor fecker aint ginger'.

The royals cannot even deny anything was said publicly even if it is utter bull. No 'name' given but did we really expect one. Guess Phillip is 3/1 on... not that he gives a shit.
Nothing that came out of that interview changed my mind - Meghan is a complete narcissistic control freak. Harry married a bunny boiler and is her subordinate. I also feel that Harry has an agenda against his family going back to the treatment of his mum which Meghan has utilised beautifully.
Well rid of the pair of them.
Now get rid of the rest of the royal family.

I've got a feeing that it wasn't Philip (even though he has past form for inappropriate comments). I don't think Harry would have mentioned it if it had been Philip

I can’t believe the landed gentry kill protected species at will 😳

And escape scott free!!!

That’s truly frightful. It’s almost as if there’s one law for them and another for the rest of us 😮

If true I think we need a root and branch enquiry into The Royal Family and Blood Sports!!!!

Even if it leads to Brenda’s front door.

Knock knock “Philip!!! That’ll be for you”.

Nothing else will be acceptable
Philip isn't really in the right place for interrogation at present.

Bearing in mind that the Royal Family themselves (and not just the lackies surrounding them) have been seriously criticised then I wonder if they will watch the interview to properly respond to it? Saying nothing or something superficial will just not wash.
Great material for the media of course, who are part of the problem

The ITV correspondent says he's been told categorically it wasn't the Queen or Prince Phillip - which suggests there maybe something in it
I get the impression from what I have seen is that they are inferring it's someone very close so that would suggest Charles or William

They’re between a rock and a hard place, they can’t say nothing, they can’t deny the allegations for fear Meghan will out the skin colour culprit, they can’t ambit everything and apologise, so I can’t imagine how they’re going to deal with this.

Sounds like it to me as well, but it depends how it was said, it would be perfectly normal to speculate about the colour, but not if it was, I hope it’s not black.

If he's thrown his own father / brother ' under the bus ' that's likely to be a permanent schism

Going to be interesting to see how they respond - Labour have already called for an investigation into the racist allegations

With the Prince Andrew issues it's not going well for our royal family right now

Totally open minded about who's telling the truth, maybe there are two truths. The RF certainly has history, the fact that Andrew is still skulking does them no favours, HM got Diana's death appallingly wrong, and Charles is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

Oprah was totally behind the Sussexes agenda, I have read how she is a great interviewer, kind but probing. A real interviewer would have asked Harry, when he said he had been financially cut off, whether he believed he should be paid for a job he wasn't doing, or should use his own Fortune. Meghan should have been asked why she was so estranged from her father and sister.

The only Royal they have directly trashed so far is Duchess of Cambridge, calling her a liar. I can make any allegation I like, but if I cannot back up with a who, it is meaningless. Racism is an easy card to play, it may well be true, but back it up.

Then we have Penny Junor's take, who is so up the RF arse that she felt Diana shouldn't have complained about Charles having a BJ from Camilla the day before his wedding

Haven't got a Scooby, but think it damages both sides.

My dad used to say, it’s always the women that cause the problems. He didn’t mean having affairs, which is mostly men who do that, he was talking about exactly what’s happening here. I’ve seen it myself in my own family and other families.

Flounce alert!!!!😆😆😆

But that`s just misogynistic bollux, isn`t it?

Nobody with half a brain would subscribe to that point of view...

I think the perfect response from the palace should be, “these are private family matters which should be and will deal with in private”
