That's a matter of opinion PB isn't it.

As a kid at Junior school we were made to play with rock-hard, plastic Mitre balls. You'd have been mad to have headed one of those.

I don't really see the issue and think it's a good idea. Mine as u10s I don't coach to head a ball in training anyway and I want the ball on the floor.

Very rare you would see headers in an under 10 or less game so seems a good idea to me. Keep them healthy and maybe even make them better with their feet as you say.

We used to play entering and heading just about every weekend and through the holidays on the beach in St Annes. I understand why though, it can't be good for you.
