Henegan

No we don’t at the moment.

But if we go back for him now we’ve given up on the new squad and style after 3 games.

There are literally thousands of player to choose from.

Nottingham is a bit of an enigma. Anonymous under Larry. Suddenly looks a player in pre season. Blows his chance again when it matters the most.

Ducking out of a tackle is unforgivable for a CH. I would be surprised if we see Nottingham again any time soon. Too many players had an offday today but Gillingham were a disgrace, falling over at every opportunity, wasting time at every throw-in and goal kick and taking it it turns to feign injury.

I think expetita is fine, I worry about Nottingham, but I would prefer Husband in the central role, suits him much better than as a left back,
It is JH's height that is a problem for me when playing as a CB. We saw evidence of that yesterday when he struggled to head away a ball and just headed it backwards into the danger zone in front of goal. He is just a square peg in a round hole, something that we thought NC was trying to avoid. We need a specialist and commanding CB who can also organise the defence and JH isn't that player. We should have been signing that specialist CB rather than the likes of Garbutt, where we already had plenty of cover.

For me at every level of football you need a commanding centre half who can organise things and win his headers, because at every level of football you will come under aerial attack at set pieces and in open play, Henegan did it better than we are doing it at the moment, unless we sort it we will struggle to win games.

But at the end of the day they had a comfortable 2-0 win. Instead of moaning about the opposition we need to learn to improve our own game management. Every team is going to play this way against us and what we need to learn to be better.

The biggest thing for me is how we start games and I really don’t understand why us and other teams feel the need to hoof it to the left wing at kick off. Why can’t we just keep it and knock it about the team instead of surrendering possession so easily.

Agree TP. Really don't understand that kick off routine. Considering we're a possession based team. Obviously under orders but maybe another reason we're starting games on the back foot.
