Heneghan Red card appeal

In his tweet says the ref agrees that he slipped when making the tackle. Does this give the club grounds to appeal?

It looked reckless and a red card watching on ifollow BUT the ref did initially go for a yellow card before, i think, looking towards the 4th official then changing his mind.
Very rarely is it worth an appeal.

Fans normally stick up for a player when he gets sent off. It appear not in this case, don’t waste your time son

Not always OL it depends on the circumstances. I agree some of the “abuse” Henners has received is a bit over the top but that unfortunately seems to be the case these days!
It seemed rash in real time tbf and I’d just take it on the chin and move on.

The referee did make some strange decisions and didn't appear to be on top of his game. Twice he gave goal kicks when they should have been corners (one of those when the keeper saved Fonz's chance near the end). He then overruled himself when the players and Pool fans complained. Presumably he was listening to the 4th official as the liners didn't appear to be getting involved. It looked like Ben slipped into the challenge, which did look a very poor one. Maybe he was blown into it by the wind 😁

Watching the highlights clip, he may have slipped, but he slipped while hurtling into a defender from behind.

And its on the touchline ffs. A defender who gets paid to play football really should know better.
