This is our only realistic hope of silverware and none of our players have earned a rest. It was a monumental mistake not playing a stronger team at Tranmere and we haven’t won a game since. At this level momentum means a lot and we should have fought tooth and nail to keep Evatt’s 100% record. Instead of this we played what effectively was a youth team and lost any momentum and head of steam we had. Burton Orient and Reading have gone since then and we don’t look like winning a game…let’s get that winning habit back at Harrogate and build from there in the cup game and at Rotherham. The season is potentially over at the end of next week if we lose both cup games and from then on in it’s a relegation scrap.
 
I'd play a mix. Upton should start as should Bondo and any other who is knocking in and around the matchday squad.

Back 4 of Lyons, Casey, Horsey and Ashworth.
 
What a stupid o/p our best so called 11 were comfortably beat Saturday,what does it say if your unable to shine in a no mark game after not starting/appearing against Reading?

It's a tin pot cup. And if we were in the Championship and the nobbers were talking about winning it you would absolutely be taking the p1ss.

No idea what Evatt will do. I suspect he'll rotate a few. No doubt he'll want to manage Hubbies minutes over the next 2 cup games. I'd almost prefer if he just picked the same 11 as on Saturday, to make a point and see if they are capable of reacting.
 
I dont think we'll see a young team tonight. He might start with most of Saturdays subs will start along with Theo, Nwanko and Bondo or he may just say same again but this time put a bit (lot) more effort in.
The players have an extra day's rest before we go again on Sunday.
 
This is the type of performance that defines a season. What the fuck is wrong with a good old 4231?
