How good is it…

To have players like Dale, Kirk and Beesley to come off the bench for us?

Thought they all played an excellent part today. All on their debuts (Dale on his debut after signing full time).

Kirk is very quick thinking and looked lively from the moment he came on. He countered a couple of time and looked dangerous but the main thing is he tracked back well and made a very good first impression.

Dale, although he gets slated on here and branded a waste of money, he is the total opposite for me. He looks great in possession and what he did for the final 20 mins to keep the ball in the corner and out of Bristol’s half was great.

Beesley, wow. What can I say? He’s like a young Madine. I love Gaz, but this fella is a star in the making. Bring it on. He did everything right in the last 20 mins. All the aerial presence but with the press too. The dream come true!

Even though we’re without a bunch of players who are all injured we absolutely smashed it today.

The togetherness and determination is outstanding and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these players 🧡

In terms of the actual players it's good but actually would only give all three a 5/10 for their time on the pitch.
Dale looked a bit lost, Kirk's delivery was poor and didn't really see Beesley make any impact.
Harsh and over-critical because of the position we were in but you can only comment on what you see.

You’re right, it’s harsh and I don’t understand where you got that opinion from, but there you go…

We need to be encouraging these young, exciting players to flourish, not putting them down as soon as they pull on the shirt.

Agree Leeds. I posted on another thread that after a little wobble readjusting after the three substitutions the three new lads all contributed and caused a threat in different ways. Very positive.

I’m too lazy to put a list together but if you think of the Pool players that didn’t get on the pitch yesterday including Maxi, Lavery, Keshi, Grant Ward, Hubby etc etc etc it’s looking decent

Three subs, all from this transfer window from L2, L1and L1 and none of them let us down and showed us some great potential. A bit of shrewd business there Mr Critch….👍

Life feels very good at the moment. We have had to wait a number of years to get back to this level. What a good performance that was yesterday against a side with a lot of quality and experience in it . We seem very close to becoming a very decent championship side.

Fuck me if he’s the lad I’m thinking of then you’re right he was fantastic when he came on, won absolutely everything. Can’t wait to see a bit more of him in the coming weeks

And give Critch time to work his magic! UTMP!

I'm sure when they are introduced separately as opposed to all almost at once we can make a better assessment, as has been said yesterday I feel we lost some of the shape after the substitutions. It was the right thing to do though at 3 up. All showed some flashes of what they are about, but I can't judge them on that timescale. I'll tell you my opinion after I've seen them play for several games.

After several games they'll be 'looking fantastic and winning absolutely everything'. (to quote BFCLSA). I feel his post was a little tongue in cheek, (maybe my cynicism). But given time, Critch will have them blended into the tangerine machine.

Not looking for an argument, but I thought they all looked good .
