How many BFC fans do you know to talk to?

As someone who has never lived in Blackpool and has only stumbled on a few Blackpool fans, I only know a couple of the guys inside Bloomfield Road just because we've sat near each other for years but I would say in total I only know 5 Blackpool fans. Is that unusual or others in the same boat?

Good question. Despite growing up locally and visiting the town regularly, I’ve lived away since leaving school. When I first returned to Bloomfield Road as a season ticket holder in 2001, I hardly knew anyone. However, I’ve got to know quite a few people since, mainly those who sit around me but also the band of volunteers who gather regularly to do all the dirty jobs. So if you are lonely, come and join the BST volunteers!

I honestly couldn't say being born and bred in Blackpool and supporting BFC all my life ,

I joined the volunteers group from the outset and have met lots of new like minded fans along the way , its certainly a good way to meet new friends and also helping our Club save some money (edited)UTMP

I'm Blackpool born and bred. I couldn't count how many fellow fans I know. There are family members (and extended family) former school friends, former work colleagues, friends I've met through walking football and people I've met on the terraces (remember them?) who are now firm friends.

I've been blessed to be a Blackpool fan and it's helped me make friends throughout my life and long may it continue!!

Used to be 1 in Bolton that I knew. Owned a off licence. Passed away a long time ago. I know 1 in Wigan who I rarely see now. I tell my household everything about the goings on. I am sure they prefer me moaning about stuff rather than being happy. Which is weird. Maybe it is the noise level. And I talk to you lot on here.

Must be quite a lot and I'm on the Christmas card list of quite a few within the M25.

Blackpool born and bred but as a child of the late 70's early 80's the number of actual Seasiders supporters I know is low compared to the number of "United, Liverpool" plastics. I think BFC was lost to most of my generation of the very early 80's as we were so bad.

There’s always a few faces ( other than the people I sit with) I recognise and talk to but if you asked me their names I couldn’t necessarily tell you them....I am more likely to know where they come from😳 as most are exiles like me.

I used to know a lot many years ago.
However, as we lived away from Blackpool for over 30 years I didn't get to know many.
Sadly most of my older friends and fans are now playing football on that great big pitch in the sky.
Had on old friend and work colleague (Bedfordshire) ring me this a.m. to wish me Happy Birthday for yesterday.
He said, 'You know Dave, you're the oldest person I know'. 🙄

Having been away for almost 50 years, I obviously don’t know any of you guys, but I have two brother in laws, one with a wife who are season ticket holders, two nieces, plus around six people I work with. Edit that, I’m supposed to call them colleagues now for some reason.

I wouldn’t have a clue must be well over 100.
Work for a lot of Pool fans, add on all my sons mates,in my local and it adds up to quite a few.
No more than 10 no me on here. 😉

Hundreds

9 of us sit together after that most people I know (not all by a long way) either support, follow or take a strong interest I’d be surprised if it was less than a hundred and probably more than double that.

Quite a lot. I must know pushing 100 AVFTT posters for starters.
Back in the day Wiz, I knew a fair few on AVFTT.

But now, in these days of changing ways so-called liberated days a story comes to mind of a friend of mine, I'd have to hazard a guess at only 80.

So I reckon I've got 20togo to catch up 2U ... 😜

Not from Blackpool, so only Insider, son of Insider, Foggy and his Dad, and of course my lad, who happily caught the Pool bug.

I know a fair few personally, as in consider 'em mates or acquaintances. Not quite in the hundreds but quite a lot.

Ones you just kinda know is bloody loads, might not even know their name but give 'em the nod when you see them at games or in the pub afterwards. Might have a pissed up chin wag at an away game and you only know them through Blackpool FC, that's one of the great things about football is that loose connection it gives you with people who would otherwise be complete strangers.

None, but I have been informed there is another BFC fan living not far away, but I have never seen him.
