How many members will there be?

363 as of last look. Must still be loads waiting to come over plus new ones potentially.

I guess soon we can see just how big the avftt fanbase really is.

AVFTT wrote on Saturday they'd have 2k people looking at the site and so only 40% registering. I bet of the 400 or so who've registered when it boils down to it only about 50 people regularly post. It's why I always felt the old board was skewed a bit on certain issues (might well be this board goes the same way). Why people should register and join in.

Soon as Fans Online announce the switch over date there'll be a bump in numbers and then, like going into the ground on match day, there will be a fair number who leave it to the very last minute. I think early adopters should get a badge - virtual or physical.

Like many I'm hoping Catinstalbans joins soon just so I can get him/her/it ignored asap.

Interersting thing is I told 3 of the lads at work who practically have AVFTT as their screen saver the amount of time they are on it and none have ever registered as a member!

Believe it or not, I actually did some analysis of this a few years back. I was very surprised to find that there were at least 500 regular posters.

what analysis was this? 533 on here so far and seemingly a fair few remainers not wanting to leave... 🙂

I wonder how many there are when all come over. How ever many members they'll be a lot more fans who just view.

I had a quick look at the nobbers site as it's the same and they have been on it years. They have 10k but probably includes all the banned pool and other fans who have tried and gone on over the years. It shows most online being 247 members just recently so must be mostly lapsed accounts.

Be interesting for us to have that most ever online stat once up and running.

There were around 10,000 registered users on AVFTT as well....When I think back, it may have been as many as 1000 regular users with around 500 people who actually started threads.

That’s pretty impressive, this will increase in numbers at a fast pace and as said, will get a spike when the old version shuts down.

Interesting, I bet 1000+ of them were spread between WUM posters from yesteryear.

I wonder who some are now...

Anyway seems like it's a decent chunk of the clubs fanbase so when people say AVFTT doesnt represent the fanbase, well it's a big enough sample.

Yeah but with old forums theres lapsed accounts, wum's, fans of other clubs.

The active users is more interesting but even then I bet a fair few had more than 1 account.

Over 500 now - I’d expect a few more over the next 7 games with 2 games. That said my Dad and brother are big fans and both read the board but neither ever posted.

Am I their favourite poster?...imagine I am so drop their initials in and I’ll give them a Blood shout out 👍

I used to be on the old board but had a period away and forgot my credentials, emailed the board admin but never had a response and forgot. Was only when I saw about this one on facebook being advertised I thought I would try again. I must say I feel that this new board is an improvement on the old one and I much prefer it.

There are a significant number who read but don't post

Surprises me how many there are

Edit to add - just checked and as I type its about 50/50

Was 109 members and 169 guests the other night but I remember after that there was even more of each.

On another note that a good thing about this site, to get the info I just looked at an old thread and it's so easy to find.

Just going on 'your threads' in the menu and there they all are... for anyone who doesnt know.

Having been using this for a few weeks now I think it's far superior to the old one, this is smooth, no lag or not being able to use it, no double, treble posts, media is a breeze to put on and you can quote and have private messages if you want. I loved the old board, it was great for years but you have to move on, and I've moved on.

Just to keep in mind I use this platform Xenforo for a boxing forum and we have had huge problems with it over the last twelve months when the server capacity becomes too full usually during big fights the whole site goes down and cant be viewed.

If AVFTT do not have an adequate level server package then in time when the users on here increase it could well be the same.

Xenforo are welk known for having poor customer support aswell.

Im sure everything will be fine but just something to keep in mind if the users on here do continue to increase.

I am a big boxing fan. What is the site you speak of? Could I join?

Well when it was the busiest it's been on here the other day and old avftt was completely down, this site was running pretty well. Seemed to have a few slight moments where it was slow and had to refresh but then was fine.

So should still be much better than the old one... hopefully.
