How many to Stoke?

The advantage of filling their ground with part time supporters is that they get easily p..sed off when things are not going their way and leave ground early if they're not winning - so most will have disappeared by half time!! They were well impressed by Pool vocal support last season.
Not a part time fan but I will be leaving 10 minutes early.
Have to catch 17-20 train bound Hamstead , Birmingham.
Commonwealth games.

When the cost of living has gone through the roof in the last 12 months, 1500 is a great effort. And im very confident we will make some noise. #utmp

Scandalous, give over ffs.
Loads of bluster on this site day in day out but when it comes to actually supporting your team in the flesh away from home and we are found wanting

It's the 1st away game of the season ffs

1500 is a pathetic turn out

Take your blinkers off man, just come to terms with the fact we’re not ** Sunderland. 1500+ is a fair away following considering everything. The problem is with you Phil is you’re a romantic and yearn for the days we used to take 4k to a fuck all game at Oldham. Times have changed my friend and we have limit under different times. Accept it.

No it's pathetic

To be honest I thought we would sell out, I'm extremely disappointed with those ticket sales for a game that close

I'm guessing the same people who couldn't be arsed travelling to Stoke will be bitching about Nobber and Clampet tickets

Doing this one. Can’t afford QPR with cost of ticket and train and I’ll have to give Blackburn a miss midweek which has pissed me off.

Will be doing the other 4 August games. I get where you’re coming from Phil. I’d have expected 2,000 minimum but early start of the season means a few are still away and cost of living is a genuine excuse. Football is a luxury. If you’ve kids and no baby sitting option you’re looking at nearly £100 on tickets, petrol/train, food and drink. Some have to pick and choose games

Unfortunately, I suspect a lot of fans have been put off by all of the negativity on social media. Hopefully things will pick up once the season gets properly under way and people realise that things are not as bad as they have been led to believe. 👍

Definitely agree with the last line.

I have it on good authority that certain posters on here have chosen to go on beekeeping courses rather than supporting the Mighty😣

That’s the first time Phil has ever been told he’s a romantic 🌹 😝

I would have thought you could shift 2k easily for the first away game and a 1hr 30min trip

Think some valid points raised though regards cost of living etc , perhaps away numbers across the country will drop this year , especially after Octobers huge increases on utility bills

Surprised Hull have only sold 1,300 for today

Enjoy your trip those going , another defeat for Stoke today and they could well be looking for a new manager by tomorrow morning

Suppose gates could be affected by holidays etc at this time of year. There's 4 here that would usually go but haven't cos we are away. I do agree the cost of living will have an impact though as its hardly a cheap do taking tickets food and petrol into consideration

At last some reasoning and sense.

Our first home game last season was against Hull 1,900 away fans

By yesterday they had sold 1,300 for today so that’s quite a drop despite them winning last week

I can never get over the arrogance of people telling others how they should spend their own money. Without any knowledge of peoples personal circumstances and blinkers to the escalating cost of living, some of you must be very privileged.

Well it's anywhere from 1 hour 30 -45 mins.

Hull to Preston is aprox 2 hours 15 ish. Hull is also a big city, you'd expect them to match what we're taking maybe.

They'll be a few prioritising their cash for the bigger closer games. Plus if someone is abroad.... they can put their cash directly into our club.....

I believe you took approx 1600 last time you went.

The Hull away figures seem to suggest the sort of drop off we may see for non local ish games, depending on how the side is doing maybe.

Didn't you put quite a few busses on for the Wigan game which was helpful?

Perhaps no coincidence that Hull has some of the most deprived wards in the UK same as Blackpool.

Fuel costs have certainly goosed things on coaches too. Car sharing is the future I think, for now.

Well doen those travelling today.

For the size of fan base, Blackpool have always travelled in decent numbers, in my opinion and from what I've witnessed in nigh on over thirty years of following them. It's your opinion against mine unless you have facts and figures per season to back it up.

To be honest we are nowhere near filling home games so it's no surprise.
