How Not to Run a Football Club

Will be very interesting to read stuff that some us knew was happening, but others simply wouldn't believe. I can cut them some slack there as it was so ridiculous it's not a surprise that people doubted it.

Whatever you may think about Riga, his position ultimately opened up people's eyes to what lengths the family would go to and started the ball rolling. That was Karl and then the court case showed people Owen's mindset too.

Has Ko reserved his copy? I thought the Podcast was far too sympathetic to him. He was instrumental in suing the fans but merely put the blame elsewhere.

Sorry if you feel we were sympathetic to Karl. Certainly didn’t intend to be and perhaps it was more a case of not wanting to open up a huge can of worms in anger and hatred, rather than being passive. What’s done is done so we preferred to ask about other topics where possible.

I thought it was very balanced - i.e. Karl claimed the suing was Owen's idea but 'once it started he wouldn't put a stop to it', and also that he was ringing fans and goading them down the phone etc. Nathan also said on numerous occasions that Karl talks a good game so anything he said would have to be taken with a pinch of salt and that he could just be spinning a yarn at various points.
