Huddersfield sales

Looking like the number so far is around 50 shy of 2,000. Will we sell out our allocation? I can't help but think we would have sold out a couple of weeks ago if results hadn't been so poor.

A win on Saturday might just entice that remaining 300 or so.

It'll sell out at the weekend.

I’am shocked there still on sale.
As a ST holder I was worried about getting a couple a few weeks ago so I actually went down to the shop the day they went on sale to buy a couple as thought they wouldn’t last a few days.
What’s wrong with everyone? A Boxing Day fixture, A short journey, in the past we would have shifted twice that amount. 🤔

yep, I went down too. Thought they would have sold out in the first two or three days.

Yeah we went to the club shop the day they went on sale and got ours too as I thought they’d sell out in no time. As long as I’m there that’s all that matters to me. Be loud and be proud 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊

I think it was your post 20’s that made me go down, didn’t you say you had been trying on the phone for ages?
nope, not me, it was always my intention to go to the ticket office itself. My plan was to go down lunchtime on the thursday but ended going down first thing on the wednesday to make sure I got them. I also reported on here that the system crashed first thing wednesday too so if you were paying by card you couldn't get them there and then. They took my details and when the system was back phoned me up so Iended going down again on thursday anyway.

Oh right.
I did read someone one here had been trying to get through for over half an hour so just jumped in the car on reading it.

Good job they didn’t give us the whole stand as a few on here were complaining about, l know they can’t though as it also houses home supporters.

We completely filled that whole end , probably overfilled it actually for a 3rd round fa cup tie 6th jan 1996 . So well over 4,000 Seasiders there . James Quinn put us ahead but in the end lost 2-1 .
I remember that day well.
They put a carpet down the left hand side as segregation, but when we completely filled that up, we dragged away the carpet and filled the entire stand. And then as even more paid in, there was no room, so hundreds were stood up at the back.
Easy 4300 there that day.
Also 3000 plus on Joe Harts debut for us.
In fact, we always take a big crowd to Huddersfield, even in our relegation season we had over 2000.

Went to the bogs at work at 10am the day they were released to get me and the old man one - that's how much I thought they'd sell out quick. Can't believe they went to general sale, never mind to have still not sold out!

How many season ticket holders do we have, 7.5k? Mad to think not even a quarter of them fancied it

My usual group were at derby and Sheffield away etc , but due to seeing family Boxing Day there is unfortunately not the ability to attend. That is surely an impact on many others too.

I was in hospitality that day. Company I used to work for sponsored something (ball maybe)
We went up when Quinn scored. Got loads of abuse 🤣🤣

Our away support has always been excellent over the years. We may be loud and proud these days but we seem to have a smaller limit on people wanting to go away from home. Not sure if its covid related or financial.

I can't believe many are staying away because of covid. Certainly, it didn't look like it on Saturday. Not a mask to be seen.

Seems a very strange place to have a ticket office, in the toilet at your work. Didn't know it existed, might be easier for some people to get to than Bloomfield Road 😉

Looking forward to this one, always liked our visits to Huddersfield.

On our away support, I recall years ago (might have been late 80’s into the 90’s) there was a statistic that we had the highest away following, relative to our home support.

Dodgy penalty for handball (Bradshaw?) for either their equaliser or winner.

I can remember that but twice in the last couple of weeks I’ve gone downstairs to make a brew, then come back up to work empty handed, then noticed a cold cup of coffee sat there an hour later when I go back to the kitchen for lunch.

The affect of the Kodi stick IPTV coming home to roost.
Going away is bloody expensive and when you can get every game for free it can make you think where is my money better off spent.

That's why I'm dead against the streaming of games no stream no chance of putting fans of from going to games.

Well don’t stream games then….that’s your choice 👍

Omicron perhaps impacted just a wee bit ?

Don’t agree at all!
Live streaming is fine, but those who do it don’t ‘support’ the club fact!!!!!
Just be honest about that folks!!

And just for the record me and my daughter have missed only 1 game home and away all season, and we’re certainly not flush with money.

Cut my cloth accordingly

That's not strictly true for all.

I stream every game live through TTV and pay £170 a year - granted I am en expat so all legal, above board and supporting the club.

I support the club s/t holder for over 30 yr (apart from boycott) got s/t x2 this yr but only been one match cos of family members cancer. Really peed off when people on here spout crap like that! We all have r own personal reasons for streaming. Just live ur own life n stop judging others. Rant over
Don't worry pal you do want you want to do.
People are full of shit anyway no one has an issue getting IPTV for streaming films, porn or any other sporting event including watching football matches but they take the moral high ground if you watch Blackpool fc on it bunch of hypocrites.
