Second consecutive Friday night defeat, this time against Birmingham, who are rubbish themselves.

Going to be a long season after being 3rd last season.

Are Brum rubbish ? Did you watch the game ?

I think Brum's problems aren't helped by what's going on off the pitch. Stadium falling down and owners not putting anything in.
Not sure what happened to the Bassini buy out, seemed a bit of a dafty. Reports of them being a basket case club. Started well though.

Might be OK if Lee Bowyer's replacement is upbeat and competent though and Birmingham is just a way into management for him. Get a group to defy the situation and get the best out of them that type of thing. Bowyer sounded like the least enthusiastic person in the world.

Huddersfield seems remarkably like Barnsley last season so far.
Lost in the PO semi, the manager then left taking key players away and they struggled.

Brum have drawn 0-0 at Luton (who they beat 5-0 last season), and beaten Huddersfield. I'm already feeling a little better about our season.

Forest started badly due to being poorly organised, then Cooper sorted it with the help of loan players. Not the same scenario tbh.

Also did good loan business last year with Colvill and the Luxembourgeios lad from Norwich. Not really done any of that this year. And of course as with us, the manager walking out didn’t help …

Seems to be the way if a less fancied club gets themselves up there, in the summer they lose everything that got them there, usually picked off by the parachute payment teams and the newly promoted PL clubs.

Would have almost certainly happened to us in 2010 if we hadn't gone up , but I suppose the market wasn't as brutal back then.

I was a bit bewildered seeing Hudders fans thinking they could challenge again this year, they lost a lot and don't seem to have reinvested whatever they got for their standouts much at all. Could easily all go very wrong but you'd hope if you supported them that they'll splash a bit of cash if it looks like relegation is a possibility, sure the fans will demand it.

Brought in Anjorin and Rudoni.

Last night, from BBC:

"They were disjointed in the opening 45 minutes and the second goal came as a result of some dismal Terriers defending.

"Schofield's side were much better after the restart and reduced the deficit just after the hour mark when a slick move culminated in Sorba Thomas finding Ward, who fired home.

"They then put Birmingham under pressure - and had appeals for a late penalty ignored

would never read too much into the first 5/6 games of the season always some mad results as sides are still being put together, that said points will be hard to gain this year so you do not want to get cut adrift at the bottom of the league , cannot always do a Forest.

Probably on a par with Lee Clarke, enthusiasm wise. I don’t think either of them will be making a living as motivational speakers.

I watched it last night, thought Brum looked a good side. Eustace has got them playing some good stuff and Placheta looks a fantastic signing. Think they might struggle for goals though with just old man Deeney, old man Jutkiewicz and Scott Hogan.

I remember season 74/75 when Carlisle were top of the then first division. They had some remarkable results including the double over Everton but still got relegated. Just as an added bonus, that same season Man Ure were in division 2 having been relegated in 73/74. Happy days.

I think its better to judge after 8/10 games. 44 games left for Huddersfield and I'm sure they will give us a game home & away.

It will feel like a long season if their fans turn on them as quickly as they did in the first game, they were booed off at halftime being one down to an excellent Burnley team
