Husband

Thought he was excellent today, defensively and his passing. He’s made a very bad mistake and will miss a game, but I hope he doesn’t get too much hammer.
Cost us the game. Simple as. Go 2 1 up and look to the likes of Husband, as an experienced player, to see out the game. Instead he fannies around as last man, gives the ball away, then unforgivably gives a penalty away, picking up a red card. He's then missing from an inexperienced side and we lose another, conceding from a position where he would have been.

That negates all the stuff he did in the previous 85 minutes.

I said before the game I thought it was harsh to bin Nottingham off completely after one game and suggested he move The Sherriff to the other side of defence to play alongside Husband and that Critch was showing a bit of prolevel footballer handling naivety.

I wonder whether that would have resulted in a slightly more solid set up and not killed off Nottinghams confidence completely.

on the back of this nightmare...Husband, Marv and Nottingham will all be at rock bottom now.

Don’t know about that, his best game I thought, looked more comfortable with Husband next to him. Mistake for the corner, but then god awful defending from others at the back post.
not sure he actually made a mistake his shirt was being tugged by the lincoln attackernad pulled off balance the ball went off his foot, should have been our fee kick i think

That is the issue with our defending, for the most part it is good, but then come the actual howlers. It's no use having a good game for 85 minutes if you make that kind of mistake. Hopefully as a team we learn and quickly or it is going to a season of frustration.

Husband did much better than Nottingham for the majority of the game. Made a lot of great headers away and positioning was good (he stopped a sure 1 on 1 from open play too in the first half), but the error from him giving the ball away and Ekpiteta giving the corner away cost us the match. Not to mention Mitchell's horrible penalty! We gifted Lincoln the 3 points today.

Spot on.

Short of running towards his own goal and driving it past Maxwell he couldn't have done much worse. Comically bad. He was lucky not to get booked earlier for one of several challenges. Not his best afternoon.

Last man is 1 match ban if its first red of season, unless its another awful new rule. We are as one dimensional as last year, changed from cross to Gnands to lump it over opposition left back. Is Grant Ward a footballer?

No decent chs on the books. Get Henaghan now & maybe James Vaughan, despite his age, scored 2 for Tranmere again, scoring freely as always?

Unfortunately Husband has that in him, that's why he's had to drop down to our level. The real problem is Critchley and that the majority of his signings are dross and can't hack league1.

I, amongst many others, have been going on about getting in a left sided centre half, but the manager knows better and does not seem bothered about filling this position! Even if he says Husband is his first pick, he still needs cover for injuries and suspensions. Unforgiveable, 2-1 up with a few minutes to go you just get the ball up the field, out of danger. It's dead easy you just limit their chances!

I agree he did OK until that complete debacle at the end. If we had a commanding player alongside him it could work out for him there, but we lack an aerial presence at both ends.

And EFL Trophy games don't count so he will probably play on Tuesday.
He needs to play Tuesday then. In the absence of any better options. With a bit of luck, that mistake will fast track NC into signing the commanding CB we have been waiting for.

No Liverpool will help with a loanee Young Striker......
I’m hoping some one else will provide an experienced centre back
though I would take Van de Bergh...
However I think it will be Ballard (gooners)......

Who is inexperienced.

If Critchley thinks Husband is thd solution as CB then we do have a problem,
I’ll take young inexperienced if they’re good enough....
Baps was young
Baps had the experience of playing nearly 180 first team games before he joined Blackpool

Correct...
22 years old when he joined...
1st game Fleetwood away friendly....looked average...
Improved immensely...
The Arsenal dude is 20....imo I think he will be good

unfortunately for husband he always has this kind of mistake in him. he doesn't appear to learn from these mistakes either.

he is a chest-thumper, not a leader. big difference.
