I love AVFTT because

Because a Josh Bowler thread turned into a discussion about quantum physics.

Because at times it's absolutely mad with threads galore in the busy moments, when somethings happened and you struggle to keep up.

It's a much more fun site than many similar ones, opposition fans are allowed a lot more leeway than they get at other places.

It's full of some real characters.
 
Where else could I go to get answers to all the worlds problems, from a cabal of grumpy old retirees?
It’s almost like communing with the (nearly) dead?

After well over a decade on here I’ve really got to know so many characters and their stance on life it’s almost unmissable. (Even if I only know about 6 of you in the real world)

There are so many laugh out loud moments as said above.

I love it too when the Nobbers turn up and we unite to humiliate them with collective wit. The moments like the Vermins court case when the family comes together in total joy.

I love the two sides of the board. Politics with folk going at it hammer and tongs, and over on the football side, agreeing and having a laugh.

And yes, the quantum physics on the Bowler thread was a highlight. I know we can be accused of being know alls, but whatever the subject, there are normally at least a couple of posters who genuinely know their stuff. I guess us oldies were lucky with our education.
 
It's the spelling for me and the grammar. Knowing that there are posters determined to disparage and destroy the English language with a simple 'your' instead of 'you're' or an 'of' in place of 'have'. As for there, their and they're....a whole universe of possibilities waiting to be plundered by the AVFTT advanced infantry.

Fantastic forum because it is packed with passionate pool fans who care deeply about this wonderful club and that is what i love about it.. There may not always be agreement about matters surrounding the club including individual players but in the main what is important is the well being of the club. Enjoyed the discussion when NC left and then the appointment of MA. Initially, but certainly not now, i was unhappy about both but this board allowed us fans to express our concern but also hear the views of others who rightly said this is our reality now and it is not definite NC could have taken us any further. Not always happy with the politics board and some of the extremer views on both sides. There is though the option to turn off and there have been plenty of times when there has been some really stimulating debate from all sides. Always enjoyed the slagging off of the club at other side of m55. On the rare occasion when kindness needs to be the order of the day our fans have proved they have big kind hearts.

I've not been on as much of late but I was thinking to myself only yesterday that I really loved it.

I don't know why exactly, probably just most of the things already mentioned by others.

I have had disagreements with other posters before and I'll probably do so again but whether or not I agree with posters on here, I'd be struggling to think of many that I don't enjoy discussing a wide range of topics with.

I must have missed the Josh Bowler/Quantum Physics thread but it sounds like classic AVFTT.

I love how a thread on the best chippy in the town can turn into an argument about whether supporters were Bumspiders or Vein Bulgers and then a discussion/debate on the privatisation of the railways before going back to the chippies.

I love it when footy season starts because of the ranting and raving from wannabee refs and managers. Heres hoping we don't lose any games this coming season. 😀
 
It's the best place for all things BFC. The official BFC website comes a close second.

And it's addictive, it is the most refreshed website on my phone and laptop by far. 😝
 
I love it because it keeps me up to date with daily/weekly events etc.
Some great posters on here. Unfortunately, some not so great.
Love the banter and tit-for-tat postings.
Love the fact that it keeps the Global seaside fans in touch with the Pool etc.
OK, there are some nutters on here, but they are usually our nutters, so we can accept them for what they/we are.
Miss my daily dose when I can't get on.
 
My wife refers to the site as Saddos R US when she used to see me on it before i reverted to my phone rather than the family computer! I like the diversity between posters to be honest, with my favs being Phil and Dave P and also some of the threads have been truly brilliant especially the Phantom Farter and anything that involved B.S.A where a certain posters alarm used to go off whenever they got a mention! The B.s.a ball signing was another classic especially when "Karen Matthews" had her meltdown!
