I see Charlie is Trending on Twitter ...

He's a footballer who will be under strict instructions as to how to avoid the virus because positive tests at a club are a disaster - so he will be avoiding contact with vulnerable people, and the general public, I would imagine.

It's prioritising death of the vulnerable over entertainment then?

I guess Charlie is worried as his season ain't started yet. Scottish Prem is playing but lower leagues aren't (I think!) and possibly as with national league might not get going.

Only 14 full time clubs in Scotland so in circumstances in their lower leagues are difficult. I follow Danny Denholm on Twitter - he plays league football but is also a teacher - and some interesting Q's about whether he'll be allowed to play by either employer as a result.

It's not so simple as 'put them in a bubble' as whilst Charlie (and I think rest of Dundee) are all full time most of opposition isn't (and thus much wider contact) and money for testing etc is even tighter than in our lower leagues.

Not actually watched the clip, more of a comment on circumstances than anything Charlie says.

Calm down, Charlie said that IF he got the virus he'd deal with it and added that he wasn't worried about it and that he was young and healthy.

Why does saying that make him an idiot ?

Not a surprise to see people on AVFTT interpret what he said to read that if he was to catch the virus he didn't give a feck and that he thought that it would give him a tremendous opportunity to spread the virus round the vulnerable folk of Tayside.
