When you think of the players who were not available it was a very good performance.
OK Wigan were poor but you can only play what's in front of you and that was about as comprehensive a win as it gets.
High energy, high press great stuff.

Reading some of the comments on the match thread last night, it seems Some posters on here would disagree with that.
I couldn’t believe some of the comments I was reading. (Pre-result fickleness of course)
“Hope the Burton game gets postponed”
“Wigan are the worst team in this League.” If they were, then they would be bottom, surely.
Which epitomises what I have said on numerous occasions.
We win, the opponents are useless. We lose, we are useless.
Why the fcuk don’t some of you give credit to the team?
Maybe Wigan were shite because we made them look like that.
As Tango94 says, you can only play what is in front of you so stop the negative comments and enjoy this resurgence.
Bring on Saturday and 5 goals back to back 👍. (Assuming Burton don’t cry off 😂)
 
Even the side that got relegated from this league in 2016 managed a 5-0 win that season. Need a few more clear wins before it starts to look like clear progress.
 
Very positive performance and a lot of reason for optimism. Some real quality performances from players such as Madine, Yates, Gabriel ,Ekpiteta and nobody had a bad game. When we have a full squad i feel we will give a few other teams in this league a good walloping.
 
We have only won 1 other league game all season by more than a single goal (2-0 v Swindon). The rest have been by a single goal. This was a good win but it came against a team in crisis that was full of kids. Any team can have a one off big win in a season. Just stating facts is not moaning. Moaning about someone stating facts is moaning.
 
I cashed on it and told all my mates too.
Had us to score over 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5 and Virtue to score KerrrrrChing.
 
I actually didn’t. I wasn’t very positive about last night and the last few weeks I think some doubts were creeping in. Absolutely delighted to be proven wrong. Hopefully we kick on now and start to become the goal scoring team we clearly can be

Whereas we only had 9 first team regulars missing. In context, both teams were weakened but we dealt with it so much better.

We also got relegated from the 1st Division in 66/67 after beating Newcastle United 6-0, the solitary home win that season. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Incidentally, the match when I started supporting the 'Mighty'. We also beat the Saints 5-1 away.

Just think how geed up all the players, manager et al will be feeling.
When you listen to the pros they all mention the “winning mentality”
I reckon at least 3 on Saturday.
Question is.
“If you were the manager would you pick the same starting 11 or (assuming some of the other squad members are fit and raring to go) would you bring some of those back in.”
It must be a nightmare for a manager but that is where a decent manager stands out.

Personally I would stick with a winning formula and have the option of strong players on the bench.

It was a great win with everything coming together. With more clinical finishing we might have done that in a few games. But we do need to do it again, otherwise it's just 3 points. Hopefully the players now believe they can do it.
 
Yes it was a brilliant win but we are only as good as our league position suggests. Still got loads of work to do to make the playoffs but least we rest assured weaknesses are been addressed.
