ICE

Ive seen the footage of the ICE agent shooting the woman at close range in the head, from what i saw it is impossible to justify his actions, but the Trump administration have done!
Politicians in Minneapolis now talking of the possibility of using the National Guard against the ICE agents.
In a divided country, with so many angry people and so many weapons, ruled by the most unpleasant bunch of narcissists and psychopaths i have seen in control of America in my lifetime, civil war looks like a distinct possibility.

On what planet??? This wasn’t an armed stop - no weapons drawn and no weapons drawn by the one talking to her through the window even as she started to drive away. Number 2 walks towards the vehicle with plenty of space to move to the side and out of the way to be in a safe position if he needed to fire. He puts himself in danger by standing still in front of the vehicle to draw his weapon and fire the first shot before moving uninjured and firing two more.

No circumstances whatsoever justify this shooting - from a former afo and murder investigator

As I say, politically driven opinions.

Only seen a couple of vids, personal opinion is I can see why the agent feared for his life - she was fleeing when one agent attempted to open the car door - whether the agent in front of her car should have shot is a different matter.

Which one was fearing for his life ??? The one who had closest contact with her, that wasnt in front of the vehicle, she’d driven away from without hitting and didn’t draw his weapon at any stage ??? So the one who did shoot her - the one in front - what’s the “different matter” there?

Are you serious? One of the goons is yanking at her door, she obviously panicked and set off at around 5 mph, the killer could have easily got out of the way, or even just shot the tyres out, but the pr**k thought he was Dirty Harry and took her out,
Just as chilling is after he shot her he doesn’t even bother to check on her, just walks away
These killers think they are above the law thanks to Trumps rhetoric, The states are a time bomb ready to blow

There will be other vids released over the coming days, presumably including the agents bodycam. That should hopefully give clarity.

Yeah well your opinion sounds like you are defending the killing of a civilian,how would you feel if it was your wife, mum or nan?
Still want to wait for the body cam when you can clearly see what happens on the video?

And that will hopefully be clearer when additional footage is available. Going back to my initial comment, it looked TO ME, like she drove at him, when fleeing, hence I could see why he feared for his life.

We'll see over the coming days - hopefully anyway.

In the videos I’ve seen he doesn’t look remotely in fear but let’s agree to disagree.

What I think we can agree on is that things in America are crazy at the moment.

I think we have been watching different footage. She appears to be turning to leave, and he could have quite easily got out of the way. Then he continues to shoot as she is moving away.
It’s murder.
 
It looked more like an assassination rather than a stop and question. Sha drove at about 5mph and not at anyone, did she know who they were or did she just see a load of people get out of a vehicle yelling at her. On first viewings it looks like they just shot a woman who was terrified. We need to know far more but the excuses they are using so far are unbelievable,
 
I just watched it, I can't believe that anyone is justifying that. She was driving around the car in front of her and moving her car away from the scene. She actually drives away from the scene presumably after she is already dead.
They have major problems, it would appear that loads of insecure men have joined ICE and can now impose their stupid fantasies of domination on the majority of the population. Trump has already justified this, it is absolutely disgusting. I can see a situation where the military actually disobeys the president and perhaps overthrows him. The Republican party has allowed all of this to happen, what a disgrace they are.

The woman was ordered to get out of the car she refused and decided instead to make a run for it which we all know is very dangerous when facing law enforcement officers in America.

Should she have been shot? No of course not but she should have complied to the request of the officer and simply got out of the car and this awful event wouldn’t have happened.

The officer overreacted and should be brought to account for his actions but this is America this is what happens as we all know so the last thing you do is make a run for it.

Why were they ordering her out of the car? If she had gotten out then yeah, she wouldn’t be dead but she probably would have been arrested without any probable cause.

This whole thing wouldn’t have happened if ICE weren’t acting like Trumps version of the SA

I’ve also said the Officer completely overrated and shouldn’t have shot her.

She was about 1 metre from him, he was not directly in front, he easily stepped to the side and shot her 3 times in the head, I fecking hate all politics and have no dog in the fight but to defend this is truly amazing, the women was daft as but that response?!

i am just glad that the woman was not black otherwise a good few of you would have been coming out with the racist card. Just like you were doing when it was George Floyd.

I also thought that military intervention would happen to bolster constitutional issues that are clearly being flouted by trump and his merry band of morons. However trump and hegseth have done a good job of removing thinking generals, and what they are largely left with are the brown noses, the corporate shills, and the incompetents. After the attack on Venezuela and the kidnap of Maduro, I'm not sure the US military now has the officers and personnel that see the internal constitutional and international law issues they are now actively involved in. Does Europe along with a number of democratic East Asian nations have the necessary clout or even the balls to hold this US administration to account. I'm reality I'm not sure they do.

Well, in the last Trump administration I believe that generals refused to order the army to shoot at unarmed civilians in the Black Lives Matter protests.
I heard a report that the mayor of Minneapolis has called in the national guard and wants them to remove ICE agents from the city. It certainly has potential to fragment and with the existence of armed militias this could really go anywhere.

This is a real live situation, not a film. They won’t shoot at tyres because bullets just ricochet and can anywhere.

And remarkably another incident involving a car where the occupant refused to get out but on this occasion had to be dragged out by police.

The rest of course went down in history and changed some things forever.
