If CJ wear Tangerine again ....

I think all fans examine a match through their own experiences and make judgements as to what worked and what didn’t - opinions to which we’re entitled and without which this may as well be a board about current events or cookery.

That’s not the same as scapegoating. If players didn’t play well fans will express their opinions. I do not rate CJ as a Championship player, pace alone doesn’t do it at this level. He should be moved on.

No scapegoat. I've said it since we were in league 1. He us a headless chicken and seems deviod of any kind of composure

If you think he's good enough to play championship football you'd be talking g bollocks too
He was no worse than any of the front three the Canadian lad offered nothing but hey let's single out one.

He was poor tonight, not the only one though!
He's always poor.

But he's been like this for a number of seasons now. The Canadian lad has been here a week.

If he turns out to have the same touch and composure I'll also have the same opinion of him.

You didn't elaborate on my point either. Do you think he us good enough for regular Championship football ????

He's an average player in an average side Bowler apart there isn't any I'd put my mortgage on winning a game.

I've defended CJ in the past but he was absolutely awful tonight. No first touch and his decision making woeful. Capped it off by crossing it from his left foot, onto his right foot and out for a goalkick.
Don't like getting on players backs, but he will do well to make the 25.

No he’s a dogshit player in an average side.

Grimmy
Marv
Connelly
Gabriel
Bowler
Thorniley
Maybe Thompson
I’d say are good enough
I dont think we have enough men
Patino didn’t really do anything nor did Fiorini these are highly rated lads at the biggest clubs in the world struggling against barrow they have to become men and become men fast.
Theo tried but always seems to make the wrong decision.
We simply cannot let bowler go if we do we go down.
We must sign someone capable of taking a decent first touch and putting the ball in the net.

I felt a bit sorry for Lavery as the players either side of him were both so so poor
Patino was anonymous as well
Worrying all round
I'm not so worried about Patino or Fiorini as players as you can see the quality they have. The problem I see is these players rely on others making runs so they can use their quality to pick them out, unfortunately as you rightly said our wide players were really really poor as I'm afraid was Lavery which effectively takes our creative players out of the game really.

CJ was dire tonight topped off by kicking his ankle instead of the ball when through in the penalty area.
It happens to everyone ..from pros ( less often ) to pub team players. The thing I noticed was a lack of input from MA towards CJ !
Not a " get your head up son " ..or a quick motivational " lets crack on ". There was no input from the manager to his player ...at all !

It’s gonna be a long hard season, we can’t rely on two young kids to pull us thru. That said I thought Patinio and Fiorini did ok. Lots of work to be done tho.

Surely Apter should be getting game time ahead of him, has much more potential and looks confident on the ball. Probably a better player already.
I know I constantly get told that our Academy is only Category 3 so the players aren't good enough but Apter should have played tonight instead of Hamilton.
I don't like having a go at players and I'm sure that CJ is a lovely guy. The sad fact is, whether its a crisis of confidence or something else, at the moment he isn't good enough. It's no use saying he's a decent League 1 player he didn't step up against League 2 opposition tonight.
Tonight was an ideal opportunity to give our own youth a chance instead of developing other teams kids for them.

Why…our kids aren’t ready for the Championship and are nowhere near as good as the young players we’ve borrowed…

CJ tonight is the worst I've ever seen in tangerine. Where he kicked it out for a goal kick, what the fuck was that.

Every chance he got he made the wrong decision

He gets in to positions he doesn't have the ability to play. Total shite. Bloomfield Bear would have been more of a goal threat.

Appleton used tonight to have a close look at some of his fringe players. He now knows where they're at. The question now is, what does he do about it?
Not sure about that really. Our best youngster Apter wasn’t selected! I thought it was a strong side that misfired due to the system and a strange lack of drive throughout the team.

As for what next, he will continue to let fringe players go whilst lobbying for his player targets to come in. Over to 🐂💩🔔
