If crowd back for playoffs...

Firstly a massive well done to the Critch & the team for a fantastic achievement in reaching the play-offs. Let's hope we do it, but if we don't I think we have the basis for automatic next year.

If we are allowed fans back in for the play-off semi, I thin k that it would be a great gesture for the club to rewards this year's STHs for their support by giving them free tickets for the game. It will be ironic if not, in that many people will have paid £249 or above to watch the team play live, and the only chance that some will have , they will be charged for.

I'm happy to pay, and will do, however, I still think that it would be a nice gesture. In the days of ESL I just think it would show the greedy FPL clubs up for their greed, and be chance for a superb PR gesture. They could do like they did with last season's ticket refunds in giving two options, i.e. pay if you want, but also get a free/discounted one if you want. I suspect that over 50%, maybe more would be happy to pay, so it would effectively be a very cheap PR success.

What is wrong with people that think SS is a charity with the amount of money he has had to plough into the club during his ownership.
A new team, backroom staff, media team, Renewing the neglected ground and finally giving us hope and a club to be proud of.
I am one of the lucky ones that will most likely have a ticket and I would gladly pay 5 times its value just to help this magnificent ower on his mission.

I do worry about some of our fan base that has had free access to all our home games on iFollow and then wants their cake and eat it.

We would most likely be out of business had the previous incumbents been in charge during this pandemic so just be thankful for that one.

Get a grip and give your head a wobble..............

Just a thought but wouldn’t the gate receipts be split? Obviously cup games are and I’m not sure but aren’t the final receipts split, or is it just a gentlemen’s agreement to which the losers get it all? Seem to remember Cardiff been so sure of victory they wouldn’t agree on that deal though.......

At a time when very many supporters were facing tremendous uncertainty over their income level and job security, those lucky enough to have a few hundred pounds of family money to donate to the club have possibly already been rewarded enough by being at the head of the queue to attend.

Think one problem is that the play-off takings go into a central pot for distribution between the teams, so would probably need agreement between all of them and the EFL

Credit for getting a Season ticket, but where do you draw the line. I would never expect a free ticket, and would be more than willing to pay for any ticket to get in the ground, but I have probably put more into the club than a Season Ticket holder, purchasing almost every game this season at £10 a pop! This based on the fact that everything was still unknown at the start and throughout, with regards to how long all this was going to go on for.

Actually, it's cheaper to buy games at £10 a go than it was to buy a season ticket!

249/279 vs 23*10 = 230

In conclusion, the club owe me a solid gold car.

Don't really care what they do. Just want to see a game!

How do you work that I've paid nearly £12 a game with a ST and two of us normally watch like last night and have paid for aways a tenner so spent nearly 800 quid this season.
The game won't be on I-follow either so get your Sky day passes for the game.

First of all I certainly hope we will be back for the semis otherwise I'll be wasting my time making sure my seat is clean today. On the receipts its likely attendance will be restricted so it might be the same money for each club regardless of capacity. UTMP

Can't see you getting your seat Insider club will surely issue tickets and tell you where to sit in your bubbles?

People tend to think from May 17th things are back to normal which it ain't SD measures will still be in place and added security to police the game don't think it being free.

2 season tickets in my house 23 games on ifollow (and we paid for every away game) = £21.73 a match at home....

No no no no no no no.....
How about we start rewarding SS by paying the going rate for things rather than asking for things for free or on the cheap.

ST was £269 not 249 so 23.39 a game for something that's cost a tenner.

Was told one illegal streaming site had 14k hits for our Sunderland game so not everyone is paying the 10.

I don’t understand why ST holders should be given anything for free.
I have followed the club for 50 years now and witnessed the highs and the lows.
I’ve had season tickets on numerous occasions but it has never been my desire to permanently have one.
There will be people on this forum who have never had a ST but have probably been to more matches (home and away) than quite a few ST holders.
ST holders, whilst obviously donating to the club coffers, are not the life and soul of the club and they do not need any special treatment.
It is THEIR choice to possess a ST and shouldn’t expect any privileges except for ticket allocation which is the norm for most football clubs.

A nice idea but I’m fairly sure revenue is split between the clubs so that’s unlikely. Plus I’m more than happy to pay £25 quid for a ticket. I always knew my ST didn’t include PlayOffs or cup games.

I am a season ticket holder and was fortunate enough to see the Swindon Game at Home. I have seen every league and fa cup game and have paid for a number of games at at home due to being fed up with having to regularly reclame money from efl ifollow.

If I have the chance to see any further games, I see no reason why I shouldn't pay full, pensioners, rate, whatever that may be.

Thank you to all at Bloomfield Road for a fantastic season and I'm hoping beyond hope that it will continue for the next three games.

UTMP.

As a ST holder this season I’ve no issue paying for a ticket for a play off semi and hopefully a final, I would always expect that and i’ve had the money put aside since about start off April when we were in a good run!! I do think we should get something next season however, be that a discount or shirt or even a parking space right outside the ground!!

And I really hope this thread doesn’t revert to the ‘im a better fan because I spent more money than you’ like the ST threads last summer.

It's not free access to home games. Season ticket holders have paid for them through their STs.
I do wish some people would stop being holier than thou. The OP is a good idea for the right reasons. There's no need to jump all over it and if you've been massively offended.

A season ticket holder has paid more. £269 for home games, £230 for away games plus a fair few quid on Cup games.

Don't be so pathetic as the terms and conditions were very clear about the possibility of not being able to attend any games.
Also the refund policy was clear too so anyone now crying over this whole situation is either illiterate or just plain stupid.
I would love to give these whingers a full refund and tell them they are not real supporters in it truest sense and go find another club to bitch and moan about.

I'm not complaining however much it cost. I'm supporting and contributing to the club. Something we didn't do for the protest years
Don't even get me started on the 4 blackpool kits my son has managed to fleece out of me this season 🤣

I can see both sides to be fair
Nobody buying an ST in June when it looked like the pandemic was on the wane realistically thought they wouldn't get to see any games (or one in the case of the few who got in)
iFollow has been a poor substitute for the outlay albeit better than nothing and of course as others have said if you are in a multiple ST household you would never all pay £10 each.
Equally you only have look at the squad to see how much Simon has invested and how refreshing is it to say that.
On balance I would say it would be a nice gesture (if it could be done) but not necessary

Aye Wiz - but how much money have we saved on travel costs ? Watched all the games this season and spent a lot less than I would normally spend to watch maybe 30 games.
True enough. Quids in on both home and away trips.

Pathetic? Crying? Oh, go away. I'm doing neither nor have I said that I would want to take advantage of such an arrangement. But you go ahead and roll out your 'off the peg' denunciations. Honestly, for some people it's one size fits all.

We need to split the fans again; let’s strip out the ones who have had a season ticket more than a year. Those left we need to find the A star fans then blah blah blah 😕

I’d expect all season ticket holders to be allowed to go. After that there is about 150 tickets left so I’d let 5+ year season ticket holders have them.

This won’t go down too well for the remaining tickets as 'The Homecoming' match was only 2 years ago. The 5+ years includes the Scum Family years 😱

I didn’t get a season ticket so I’ve probably spent way more than the price of a season ticket on ifollow. Do I get a free ticket too? Wait, what about free tickets for everyone? Even better, why don’t we live stream Simon Sadler burning his cash on a big bonfire? Even better if he didn’t charge us to watch it.

They won’t be allowed to offer anything for the game due to the gates having to be split as many have said.

I’d like the club to offer a bit of a discount on next season’s Championship season tickets for those who renew next year.
