If football fans wore masks ..

.. aside from the sound of muffled cheering, the fact the game was outdoors, then surely they would consider allowing fans back in? Not sure they'd be keen on opening the concourses and the half time cocoa could be hard to consume but sounds pretty safe to me?

I would agree, not for myself because although we will re new STs we will not be going until a vaccine is available. However we will be watching on the fire stick and after watching one or two of the games without crowds it is terrible. You don’t realise what a difference it makes. I think that spectators will be back from the season start in limited numbers and no away fans. This will give clubs some income and make viewing a full experience.

I read recently that there is a possibility that shouting and singing in the ground will not be allowed . It won't be worth going under those circumstances .

There is still a virus, that is easily transmitted by proximity to infected people, a number of people don't know they have it, but will still transmit it.. ie people will die...

Can't see any stadiums, clubs wanting to take the risk, even if they did, would their insurers allow it...

Yes could be a good idea but we'd all have to temper our enthusiasm within the stadia.
Funnily enough BRR mentioned that people in Lewisham have had some success with the wearing of masks, but that could be a reference to their 'visiting' of banks, post offices and jewellers.

What we need is a fans app, you record yourself singing the songs you like and then blast it out of your phone as appropriate. This may or may not be tongue-in-cheek. 😆

The world would be a prettier place!

To be honest with the ruling about face masks in shops, it does make any indoor event slightly odd if they don't ask to wear a face mask and outdoor events even odder!

I can see that being a realistic number. I would suspect you'd have to wear a face mask in the concourse areas but doubt they'd expect it once in the open air.
Might make going to the loo a more pleasant experience - can't believe some wait until they get to BR to have a dump!
