Imran Sherwani RIP

One for those of a certain age, but saw this morning that Imran Sherwani has died. He was a star of the 1988 GB gold medal hockey team. A time, when suddenly everyone was interested in hockey.

Sherwani scored 2 in the final win against West Germany and his third was made famous by Barry Davies commentary: 'Where were the Germans? But frankly, who cares...'

Sad. Listened to that final in a Hospital Ward in Chessie, and will always remember the noise from fellow occupants. Great times. RIP Imran
