How many would we have taken and where is everyone having a pre-match pint?

Don't think I've ever been there when it's been pleasant and warm - usually it's baltic!

Last season it was great, stand full of tangerine was about half of the total attendance.

Also had the lunatic linesman pool fan shadowing the linesman.

Great away day out. Sunshine, warm day people enjoying th chippy outside the stand before ko.

Miss those away days.

Rochdale away in 1984 was carnage by all accounts. I wasn't there myself but know of cars being turned over and some one being pulled back from throwing a match over petrol spilled on the road. The year later the game was all ticket and moved to a very early kick off, something like 11.30am.

We came over from Colne & had a break from the music festival which we were at & as you say it was a very warm day, only thing we didn't do was score. Lets hope that's not the case tonight. I rarely go to away matches but saw loads of people I'd not seen for all the dark years of the boycott. Still I enjoyed the spectacle of a sea of tangerine.

Can't remember the year, the gates were smashed open and many of us got in without paying!

The year later we just made the train after the game in time for a very lively encounter with Bolton at Burnden Park🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

I was there and the behaviour of some our fans ( not sure they deserved that title) that day still makes me cringe.....I know some on here will glorify it but I am not as I witnessed some of those shocking incidents.
I am certainly glad I parked where i did because I might not have had a car to drive home in.

That was referred to in the Rochdale programme, Boxing Day, a couple of years back. Judging by his performance, that day the Ref must have read the piece and decided to inflict retribution.

I seem to remember a pre-season friendly there, when it was really hot and sunny?

...or am I imagining it???

Yes I know you were there 🙄

Yes the 84 game was a bad day. One of those we had several of where virtually all the regular home support seemed to have turned out. Then the team played awful and we get done. More or less the same happened at Bury.

I don't know if the Rochdale charge at the end was preplanned, but if it wasn't then Dale certainly helped advertise the idea. From memory there was a low wall at our end, and the announcer said several times, it's forbidden to go over the wall. I'm sure thousands were pur off trying.

Yep I was there and remember seeing 2 or 3 cars that had been overturned
Was about to go into the Dale supporters club for a pre- match pint when the TV came flying through the window 😲

Never left Spotland with a win whilst I've watched us - would've been the same horrible walk back up that hill to the cemetery that we usually take!
