Ipswich have every right to underestimate us we’re uselessThink Ipswich will underestimate us. Hope we win and not just give a good account of ourselves.
That's the spirit.Ipswich have every right to underestimate us we’re useless
That's the spirit.
They have a very realistic chance of promotion to the Prem.I doubt they'll rest their starting 11, they didn't play at the weekend. Hope for the best though.
Away sideGoing more in hope than expectation. If they rest a fair few we have a slim chance. If it’s virtually a full strength Ipswich it could be a hammering.
They’re a very good championship team and we’re missing Husband, Horsfall, Ihiekwe, Taylor and Ennis. Down to the bare bones again.
Zero pressure though, should be a good atmosphere in the away end
NoI'm sorry if this has already been asked, but can we watch this game on tv?
Surprise Surprise sell tickets at affordable prices and reap the rewards.Ipswich have sold over 23,000 tickets, so it is very much looking like it will be a decent attendance. I'd be surprised if it wasn't over 26K come Saturday.
Totally agree, make the best of a good day out, anything else is a bonus.Going more in hope than expectation. If they rest a fair few we have a slim chance. If it’s virtually a full strength Ipswich it could be a hammering.

Hmmm. Players chomping at the bit. Don’t like the sound of that.Good evening Blackpool fans
Hope you are well and safe trip down to Suffolk this weekend.
The weather will be awful for 24 hours in the build up this game due to Storm Goretti but if temperatures stay above 0 then all should be good.
Looking forward to giving Lee Evans a good ovation - very solid servant for us during his injury plagued spell.
We are likely to make mass changes (possibly seven) as we have a large squad who are all chomping at the bit to impress Keiran McKenna. We need to get minutes in some of our bench/squad players who will be vital to us in the promotion run-in.
We will play 4-2-3-1 - McKenna has started that formation every game since he arrived.
Although the general vibe is pretty positive at the club, I think the atmosphere will be much quieter than usual as the crowd will see a significant number of fans attending who do not have a season ticket, so hardly get to go.
We will attempt to play quick football, press heavily and rotate the ball down each flank enabling our attacking midfield trio to find cutbacks to the main striker.
Looking forward to it and best of luck after Saturday
We have had a pretty bad record in this competition recently!Hmmm. Players chomping at the bit. Don’t like the sound of that.I imagine we will play a weakened side too (if we can find enough players) and you will probably win at a canter. But, it’s the FA Cup…
Yep, you never know. But I’m pretty sure you are gonna win. Thing is, both of us are concentrating on the league. Don’t think either manager would be bothered about going out. Strange scenario. We have had a pretty bad record in this competition recently!
The season we got promoted from the Championship, two years ago, we lost 1-2 at home to Maidstone in front of 28,000 on live TV....
Mad stuff can happen
All of our attacks will come down our right flank so you'd be better playing two left backsWe will attempt to play quick football, press heavily and rotate the ball down each flank enabling our attacking midfield trio to find cutbacks to the main striker.

Promotion has to be the priority for them, no doubt. A cup run can give confidence, but it can just as easily become a distraction when the league is that tight. If they rotate, it gives us a chance — even if we’re thin, cups are all about taking your moments. They have a very realistic chance of promotion to the Prem.
Is a cup run a distraction or does it build confidence?
Suspect some of their best players will be rested, but we are so thin on the ground that it would be a big upset for us to win.
Ashley Young probably playing left backAll of our attacks will come down our right flank so you'd be better playing two left backs
Play the strongest team and hopefully thru to next round with some big money to spend on transfersI have trouble getting excited about this match - we play the strongest team we have and we end up getting beat with more injury chances, so is it worth it. We play kids and get beat etc. Hopefully no thrashing whoever we play and no injuries.
1,300ish I thinkHow many tickets sold for Ipswich?

This is my second biggest wish for Saturday. The number 1 being no more bastard injuriesI don’t want to get ahead of myself here, but I do think Ipswich will rest players. We win this and then get a Premier League glamour tie in the fourth round
That was Maidstone though, so you'd give them half a chance. This is Blackpool so much easier for you.We have had a pretty bad record in this competition recently!

"We will attempt to play quick football" ..that's us done then..we're a slow paced team...though we do have CJ aka 'Flash'!Good evening Blackpool fans

Christ, how old is he nowAshley Young probably playing left back
40Christ, how old is he now![]()
I don't think he will start both Evans and Finnigan. What about Brown?Amos Wynn's predicted starting 11.
I'll go:
BPF.
Lyons Casey Ashworth
Imray Evans Finnigan Honeyman CJ
Bloxham Fletcher.
Bench:
Raviolli, Morgan Banks Bowler Nwankwo Upton Knight Bondo?
I cant think of any more unless he puts Ennis and Ihikwei on the bench.
Forgot about him. Oops.I don't think he will start both Evans and Finnigan. What about Brown?
Absolutely agree with what we have available & to stay in the game. But doubt it.Surely you would go 4 at the back. Lyons and Ashworth in a back three is like throwing in the towel before you even kick off.
He only played 18 games and didnt really get the opportunity to establish himself with us. We do need a tall left-footed CB so he does fit the bill. Someone obviously fancies him at Ipswich because he's contracted until June 2028. I dont see him as a PL player however should you get promoted. Was Ellkan Baggott any good for you on loan?
Seems like he will play for us at centre back - can’t remember the last time he featured for us but McKenna has always rated him.
Probably be a number of changes but tbh we make 2/3 changes every week for the League games.
My prediction is Ipswich 2-1 Blackpool.
Safe travels
Ps : Lots of good pubs in Ipswich - go to Isaac’s by the marina or The Greyhound for something a bit more traditional
