Ireland to follow Wales into total lockdown......

Six weeks flaming heck begging bowl be out to us again!
We won't need any help from you, we have our European friends who will support us if necessary. Oh yes, I forgot, you don't have that option anymore, do you? Things are done properly over here, 350 Euro a week furlough payments.

Sounds like you dont need to work ever again. You have been used by the EU as pawns in the Brexit game and your future is looking bleak.

You still owe us over 2 billion from last time we helped out and you'd better get a move on saving it's due to be paid by March.

As to 350 euro a week paid by furlough whoopy do er that's works out about 80% of someone full time on your minuim wage(10.10euro) whilst we've being paying 80% up to 30k. 👍

Who did you turn to last time you needed a bailout?

Oh, and why did you need that bailout in the first place?

Germany I expect.

Not directly, they were exposed through some of the EU bailout mechanisms (so are we) and through the IMF to a lesser degree, but the only direct bilateral aid came from us, Sweden and Denmark.

Also note that the Irish were pushed into bailing out their banks by the ECB, something that similar to Greece ended up being a de facto bailout for German banks.
