Is there a shortage of good strikers?

Lots around tied up on big contracts that will never get a game and are not prepared to go out on loan. Unfortunately it’s the state of the game these days with the obscene amounts of money knocking about.
 
Scargill was one of a golden generation of strikers. Since then, the French have continued to produce some decent yellow vests to carry on the tradition but there does seem to be a real lack of pickets around?
 
Most teams only play one up top and playing that role you have to be different from your typical centre forward.
Firmino at Liverpool is never their top scorer for example but is one of the best in the world,City have played without a striker football has changed.
