No problem.Favourite game for pool
What’s Bruce like as a man
His contract expired.Funny how in my eyes ODonnell did not do much wrong in the Blackpool net and ends up signing for a team in a higher division just like Maxwell ,who also did not do a lot wrong and was brilliant at Sheffield Utd.
Funny how Blackpool fans keep hounding good goal keepers out . I know ODonnell did not get the same treatment as Maxwell ,but he still had plenty on here and other websites slagging him.
It was pretty clear to me he wasn't up to the job almost every time he played last season. Nothing against the guy as he seemed like an honest pro who was good to have around the squad but he had a bad habit of palming everything back into the middle of the six yard box and made some pretty basic errors that led to goals.Funny how in my eyes ODonnell did not do much wrong in the Blackpool net and ends up signing for a team in a higher division just like Maxwell ,who also did not do a lot wrong and was brilliant at Sheffield Utd.

What a truly bizarre comment.Funny how Blackpool fans keep hounding good goal keepers out .
O'Donnell's contract had expired ,but from the websites and the attitude by some fans would he have wanted to sign a new contract to be a second string goalie even if offered . Not a chanceHis contract expired.
You have taken a ** massive leap to conclude any of our players are being "hounded out".

Every goal keeper makes mistakes ,but I didn't think he made that many and nor does Derby County or maybe their scouts know less then people on AVFTT.It was pretty clear to me he wasn't up to the job almost every time he played last season. True, they do indeed. But I thought he made more than his fair share considering the time he played. In my opinion he's not up to the standard to play League 1 football. Derby will have their own opinion but I doubt they've signed him thinking he's anywhere near Championship standard, he'll most likely be there as a third choice and paid accordingly like Mackenzie Chapman was for us the past couple of seasons.Every goal keeper makes mistakes ,but I didn't think he made that many and nor does Derby County or maybe their scouts know less then people on AVFTT.
Only want whats best for my kids and I am glad to see one has been noticed and promoted to a bigger club and more wages . Those scouts at Derby know what they are doing ,pity it doesn't rub off on the AVFTT website where some get easy led astray. Please can you ask him what WIZARD OF TANGERINE is like as a father?
A lot of this happens in your head pal.O'Donnell's contract had expired ,but from the websites and the attitude by some fans would he have wanted to sign a new contract to be a second string goalie even if offered . Not a chance
In respect to Maxwell he was getting verbal's at matches as well as slagging on the websites and I believe he was definitely hounded out and if you watch the 3-3 draw with Sheffield you would realise how good a goalie he was.
With no reserve team no actual game time just training plus warm up match day decent keeper. Does lots for charity friend follows Bradford knows him well(Scott Thornton)O'Donnell's contract had expired ,but from the websites and the attitude by some fans would he have wanted to sign a new contract to be a second string goalie even if offered . Not a chance

I am pretty sure he probably is not their first choice ,but I think he will make their bench quite regular and is good enough to be there.True, they do indeed. So ODonnell has not been criticised on here and Maxwell didn't get criticised on here and was regularly abused at matches . Maybe you don't follow Blackpool because you have to be blind and death not to see what was going on.A lot of this happens in your head pal.
All players are criticised. All players are shouted at from the stands. That's the career. So ODonnell has not been criticised on here and Maxwell didn't get criticised on here and was regularly abused at matches . Why would anyone in their right mind leave a club and have a go at the fan base . All that would do is get them a reputation as a moaner that has trouble putting up with any criticism .All players are criticised. All players are shouted at from the stands. That's the career.
For some reason you're projecting that into the reason O'Donnell and Maxwell left. They left because their contracts expired. There's no deeper reason. Weird reasoning.
Do you have any evidence? Anything either player said? Did O'Donnell mention it in the podcast?
"blind and death". Classic! If you're dead you won't be bothered at all. Do you perhaps mean deaf? Give up whilst you are so far behind. You are embarrassing yourself. So ODonnell has not been criticised on here and Maxwell didn't get criticised on here and was regularly abused at matches . Maybe you don't follow Blackpool because you have to be blind and death not to see what was going on.
You don't know that for a fact as I don't know that he would make the bench ,but even if you are right about him only being third choice ,he will probably on more money at a bigger club with a possibility of making the squad. Where at Blackpool he was rarely going to get games ,on less money , with all the critics on these websites.I’m almost certain if at the end of last season we offered him a deal with the guarantee of being second choice he’d have signed it. The reality is he’s not good enough to be second choice. If you go back and watch highlights from games he played he cost us a lot of points.
He’s obviously a good, experienced pro hence why he’s signed for Derby but he’ll be no more than a number 3 there. So your comments about Derby’s scouts compared to Blackpool fans opinion is way off the mark. Do you think Man City scouts sat and watched Scott Carson for months?

I know where I would rather be ,especially when they were choosing flappy Tyrer who was awful when he first came and only improved late on
Well that didn't last long ,I was hoping for more sense from you and then you come up with this . You must be the only person in Blackpool that thought that Tyrer was a good goal keeper right from the beginning and didn't deserve some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.Amazing once again how you criticise other fans for their views on players yet here you are doing it yourself with Tyrer.
He's the equivalent of a civil servantJeez. In a 20 year career, he's had four seasons as a first choice in a League 1/2 EFL club, and two of those ended in relegation. Ten permanent clubs in twelve years.
He's the archetypal lower-league journeyman backup keeper. A nice bloke, probably a good guy to have around the squad, good for morale, good on the training pitch. He's made a career of it.
never said he was good from the beginning but that was not the point. The point to my post was YOU criticising fans for criticising players when it's clear that you do that yourself. Not only Tyrer but you've criticised Evans as well.Well that didn't last long ,I was hoping for more sense from you and then you come up with this . O donell was not a good goalkeeper ? He was a complete liability when called upon in the leagueFunny how in my eyes ODonnell did not do much wrong in the Blackpool net and ends up signing for a team in a higher division just like Maxwell ,who also did not do a lot wrong and was brilliant at Sheffield Utd.

I do criticise players ,but apart from referring to Tyrer as flappy .I am pretty sure most of my criticism is usually deserved and I point it out and normally I would refer to a player as not good enough or needs to improve or even point out where I think a player or manager is going wrong.never said he was good from the beginning but that was not the point. The point to my post was YOU criticising fans for criticising players when it's clear that you do that yourself. Not only Tyrer but you've criticised Evans as well.
Why ? Give me three glaring mistakes that he made when playing for the first team ,because I can probably give you at least 3 that Tyrer made.O donell was not a good goalkeeper ? He was a complete liability when called upon in the league
It wasn’t so much about him making mistakes, he would always hoof long to the opposition and lead to them having pressure on us. He couldn’t play out from the back. Tyrer made mistakes but was much better at keeping the ball hence why he got put back in when Bruce saw odonell. I think we could to better as a ‘second keeper’Why ? Give me three glaring mistakes that he made when playing for the first team ,because I can probably give you at least 3 that Tyrer made.
Yep his mistakes weren’t as glaring as Tyrer’s in the first part of the season. But his distribution was awful and he let a lot of shots in that an average keeper at this level should be stopping. An example because I literally watched the highlights the other day to remind myself how our new goalie played, was the 2-2 draw with Wycombe. Their second goal was a strike from distance which wasn’t close to the corner, he got a full hand to it and it still managed to go in.It wasn’t so much about him making mistakes, he would always hoof long to the opposition and lead to them having pressure on us. To be honest I prefer it when the ball is hoofed up field .I obviously would like it to go to a Blackpool player ,but with our regular front line being Apter and Joseph with Fletcher who was lacking confidence then it was always going to be unlikely that a pool player would win possession. It wasn’t so much about him making mistakes, he would always hoof long to the opposition and lead to them having pressure on us.
