Anyone else agree that the apparent new format is absolute shite. No pundits. (I know we rarely agree with what they say but at least it gives us something to talk about.) No replays of contentious issues. No analysis. It's just boring.

Maybe they should bring back Manish and Mogadon Claridge. Then we'd be grateful for the current shambles.

Pundits just repeat what you just saw. Prefer using the time on maximising coverage of games.

I'd guess now you get highlights packages online that the viewing figures are really low for these round up shows cos people have their own club TV services or just use the Youtube/Sky links.

It's a shame because a nicely put together thing helps you keep on top of what's going on and there's plenty of expertise out there. It's a pity that they just flog to the highest bidder as opposed to a bidder who will make the best of it but that's football innit.

Doesn't it not make a difference - e.g. the highlights package is sold for X minutes of football and the punditry is padding. I agree I'm not that into two ex players going 'well, it's one of them Clive' but it's nice to get some context and background between games and perhaps a focus on a particular player who is doing well or whatever. When done well, the wraparound stuff can be really helpful.

Clinton Morrison was the end of punditry padding for me. I'm sure I don't need to explain any further!!!

They are totally crap, 10 minutes fannying on about some American who's paid into Birmingham City I think. WTF can't they just give the main action from the games & cut the bullshit, the program length would be the same. The program lasts 1 1\2 hours so allowing for adverts each team should get about 2 minutes. That would be fair. I know we can watch our highlights or extended highlights for a few quid a month, but it's nice to look at other teams just to see what's going on.

Some of us want to know about other clubs other than our own, and we're given a disservice with this current format. I didn't mind the punditry even last season. Dean Ashton etc were OK.

The EFL hi lights are ok if you turn the sound off. I couldn’t cope with the guy covering the Plymouth game so had to silent it
