James Husband Interview

While talk is cheap and actions speak louder so it’s important to see how we start the season, it was a really encouraging interview and good to hear from Hubby who doesn’t speak to the media too often. Hopefully he can step up

Never heard him speak before. Good to have him and Maxwell on board because both seem to be very level headed.

He's only 26 and one of our oldest players behind Nottingham Madine and Maxwell. Speaks well. One of those players you'd hate playing against you but love when he's in your shirt. He looks great on the ball and gives a hundred percent. I hope he does the business for us this season.

Not my favourite player but comes across well in this interview. I think Critch has the required mental toughness to become a good manager

I can live with defenders who have a little nasty streak in them, a lot of wingers will have seen that tackle and will already be bricking themselves. He seems a decent bloke and his comments are very positive about NCs methods. It is one thing doing it in friendlies, the acid test will be next week at Home Park. If we can get off to a flyer I can only see us improving as the season goes on.

On a serious note, i do think he is hs matured a fair bit as a player in the last 12 months. He was pretty raw back then. He appears pretty composed and dependable now. It shows what a regular run of games can do for a player that hasn't really had a lot of first team experience. I was a bit surprised when we gave him a contract (2 years I think?) after his loan spell but he has improved quite a lot I reckon. Grown. Despite last season being a bit of a mess. Another good season and he'll be a good age next summer to maybe interest one or two Championship clubs looking for an economical option at left back. Maybe us!

I also think he's very underestimated by some of our fans.Last season he played in central defence a couple of times and looked very competent - cant quite bring the actual games back to mind.

I think he's one of the most passionate players on the pitch, you can always hear him shouting and he gets stuck in. That's my kind of player

I like the 'Crr...The Gaffer' - suggests a good positive relationship between Coaches and Players is being formed - less 'us' and 'them' as there was under Grayson.
