Did anyone just see his interview on Sky after the game tonight?

Fantastic, refreshing, honest and full of personality.

Not many like that in the game. If more were like that pre and post match it would make the Prem a much better product to watch.
Seems to be a very likeable guy and if he continues could become one of the Premier Leagues all time greats.

Switched it off before the interviews but once again he was brilliant tonight. I love watching Leicester and they all play for each other and look so hungry. Compare that to Chelsea and they players look like strangers, I though Mason Mount looked completely lost and out of ideas towards the end of that.

No reason why they can't keep this up and go and win the league again.

Also I had Madison in my dreamteam for double game week so absolutely loving it!

I think he is a top quality player as well. MOTD were raving about Mount for Chelsea the other day but Maddison taught him a football lesson today...

Yes should have actually mentioned how good he was tonight. Fantastic play. The way he took his goal made it look easy when it technically wasn’t.

Very good player. I'd have him over Mount in England set up. Think he's another one like Grealish who is a bit different and so Southgate won't be in any rush to give him a chance. We saw how long it took him to see what everyone else could and that's really not something you should be saying about an England manager.

Typical Premier league diver though. I wish some of these coiffed gel boys would show a bit more self respect. Gazza stayed on his feet.

I've liked Maddison for a while. He's one of the few English players who consistently takes the ball on the half-turn and is always looking to drive forward. Definitely agree with you 20's in that I see much more in him than Mount. Not that I think Mount is a bad player, just that I prefer Maddison. It will be very interesting to see how he can play with the likes of Grealish and Foden.

I'd also stick up for Southgate, in respect that he's better off with a squad of committed players that want to play than a squad of talent that has no interest in playing for England. Not saying Maddison has done that either, but i've no issue with setting out a particular stall and sticking to it.

Can't fully agree with you on Southgate, though your point is valid. He brought Foden back in but not Greenwood. Why? I'd say it's simply to do with football and that Foden is nearer to the starting eleven than Greenwood. ie forgive one player his misdemeanours before another because it suits him to do so. Said it before, Maddison is clearly a player who has utmost faith in his ability and says and shows it. Southgate perhaps sees that as being a bit too cocky for his liking and sees that as a problem. I'd say Grealish, his performances and the media, forced Southgate to reluctantly to give him that chance which thankfully Grealish has taken. I'd hope Maddison can do the same.

Of course that's not to dismiss the importance that Southgate is trying to lay down in terms of the importance of discipline, team spirit etc.

Greenwood hasn't done much recently to justify being in the squad - whereas Foden has. If they've 'served their time' (so to speak) the question of selection then moves to simply whether their form justifies it versus the players they're competing against. Foden's form definitely justifies it.

I'd also say that in the last year, Maddison's issue has been injuries. He's been playing regularly for a while now this season and you can see the benefit in his form and also in the fact that he's playing in a team and system that suits him.

The real point in all this though, is that if they all continue to play well and develop, we have some depth to choose from, which is great.

I think the issue Southgate has is playing a system that will get the best of a very talented group of attacking midfielders like Mount, Grealish, Foden and Madison. He needs to have a balanced midfield with a combination of power and artistry, so the important thing is to put together a system that gives these boys a chance to shine.

We all remember when we had Beckham, Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard playing, we really never got the best out of them as the system we employed was far too rigid and players ended up playing out of position and the "golden generation" as they were known, failed to deliver any silverware.

Yep. It would be nice to think people have learned from that. I'd hope that he has the balls to recognise that it's great to have options, but that also means players miss out if there's direct competition for their strongest position. Trying to fit 3 into 2 (or whatever) rarely works. Far better to have players knowing their role and doing it well.

Watched most of the game. I was thinking just how good Vardy is? He always looks a threat and works his socks off.

Oh what could have been hey Koko?

Going back to the interview, I agree that it was terrific, and so nice to hear a player sound so enthusiastic about what his team is doing, what his coach brings to the party, together with a bit of humour. Maddison has been a bit of a naughty boy in the past but his play and his interview is showing a lot more maturity. He is also getting the consistency. Him and Grealish are now doing it week in, week out. My worry is that Southgate seems to have his favourites who appear to queue jump after one good performance.
