For me, the lad is a classic 'Keigan Parker' type player who is on his game when things are going his way but is awful when things are not. Looked like a terrible, petulant teenager yesterday and was guilty of spewing a few chances for the team when we were in decent positions, Needs a goal or I fear he'll be an expensive mistake.

Keigan Parker scored goals this guy ha only scored one pen throughout pre season and current season .Doesn’t have it ...... to think some players put out on loan and moved on could have done a better job upfront.

As someone else said, if we do not put the ball in the box or in the areas he can score goals from, I don't see how we can expect him to bang 20 a season in. The lad works his rocks off, last night he was poor but the supply to him was woeful. He would need to hold off a 6'4" defender, control the ball on this nose, then dribble past their other centre back and score from 20 yards.

He has to play in his best position and that is not as the middle man in a front three. I agree that we are nt creating any chances but irrespective of that he's simply not a target man. Put him wide in a front three where he has to compete with a good few othersfor a place or play him alongside a target man and we may get the best out of him, If he's good enough.

It's far too easy to simply say "the forwards aren't scoring".
As others have said, they're not getting any chances to score.

I'd be more worried about the strikers if they were consistently missing chances they were getting.

Look to the reasons why we aren't creating chances, that is the source of the problem.

He is an expensive mistake. Has no goalscoring pedigree whatsoever other than one season in league2. One of many mistakes by Mansford, Johnson and Critchley.

Agreed. He’s worked his socks off in the games he’s started but looked a liability last night with his stupid fouls.

When he gets going I think he'll be an asset but you're description of him being a bit Keigan Parker is pretty spot on, he's terrible when the chips are down.

Why are we not creating enough chances?
Simple reasoning, our laboured passing along the back line etc allows the other team to get all their players back.
We should sometimes adopt the 'long ball' making sure our attackers know what's going on.
WE ARE NOT DIRECT ENOUGH.

He's National league standard, a workhorse with limited talent, but the Mansford, Johnson, Critchley combo thought he was worth £200k. Idiots!
Mind boggling whats going on here if you look at his stats there very poor even at a lower level.
£200k crazy looks like a scatter gun approach there obviously not looking at previous season stats when signing these players.

I don`t agree with your comparison with Parker who actually had a lot of ability but lacked brains and had a very poor attitude.
Totally agree your spot Parker had pace and a goal threat offside a lot but always thought he could have played at a higher level if it wasn't for his attitude ect ect ect phone through Windows lols😂
