Tests positive for CV19 and out of Olympics, 2 months after testing positive on USPGA tour.

How? I didn’t think that was possible.

Viruses can remain dormant in the body for years before being reactivated. Unless both times were genetically tested to prove different strains, it might be the initial one not fully disappearing.

He tested negative before last weeks Open. All PCR tests used on players and officials.

Is there actually anything wrong with him?

He won the US PGA after his 1st positive test so should be primed for the Ryder Cup 🙌🏽

How? ...and stop being a muppet.
Who's being a muppet?

Immunity

noun

1. the ability of an organism to resist a particular infection or toxin by the action of specific antibodies or sensitized white blood cells.

It doesn't mean you can't be infected.

Surely it can't even be 2 months since he was thrown out at the Memorial when 6 clear after the 3rd round ?

As somebody above has already suggested he'll be just fine.

He's managed to win the US Open and run 3rd in the British Open since his first slice of Covid.

Antibodies don't stop you catching a virus.

It just sounds like you’re contradicting yourself.

I ain’t trolling just need a simple explanation, or is this just a weird anomaly.

I think antibodies help you fight the virus, but don’t necessarily stop you getting infected. Like the vaccine.

You can still catch a virus but the immunity means you're much much less likely to get ill.

That's herd immunity, it's not a contradiction.

That’s all I was asking for, a simple explanation. Most times you are OK and I agree with lots you say, but sometimes you can be a right obnoxious......

So just to confirm:

I had it 3 weeks ago. Quite ill for 3 days but nothing too bad. So I’m now just as likely or unlikely to catch it again, but with lesser symptoms?

I believe that’s the case? Certainly the case with other vaccines or viruses.
