Remember what an impact he had for us in the Championship all those years ago, notably at Leeds away on that magical night. He's still playing brilliant, watching him perform against ManUre tonight. Terrific performance.

Very talented lad, seems to have grown up as well, for a while he always had a moment of madness in him.

He was excellent for us. I think he was another victim of getting a big move too soon, when he went from Charlton to Liverpool he probably needed a few more years at Championship level and it took him a few years to recover. Fortunately for him, he has and he's made a really good career for himself.

Also remembering he's still only 28, so got some years left in the game. It was 2012 he had a stint with us so would only have been 20. That game at Leeds and his hat-trick was sensational and one of the best Pool games Ive ever seen away.

Agree with you regarding the "too big too soon" remark. Wasn't he only 17/18 when he went to Liverpool from Charlton?

He was absolute;y brilliant that night, him and Lua Lua were one the best performances I've ever seen away.
Shelvey is everything I love about football, he's an entertainer just like Charlie was.

Scored a great free kick against Bristol City at Bloomers prior to the Leeds game. Even impressed the wife who is a Robins supporter.

I got speaking to his Mum at a game when he was with us, it was in the corporate seats and she had a players guest pass, she told me his brother was actually much better than Jonjo when they were kids, but she said the difference was Jonjo had that mental toughness and steely determination to be a pro which his sibling didn't have, I think she mentioned the brother was playing semi pro down south where they're from.

Is that’s right he’s only 28? We need to resign him ⚽
