Surprise knock on the door tonight and Jordan was stood on our doorstep! Personal delivery of some T-shirts from his Velour range. Took time out to speak to our grandchildren and posed for photos. The kids go to every home game and were starstruck!

Tried to quiz him on a few things 🍊.

He’s not moving to Burnley and Kev Stewart is back in training. All the lads enjoyed the first week back and are warming to Appy.

His six fingered, reinforced knuckles thoughts would go down a storm with the Dingles.

Interesting how the lads were 'warming' to Appleton. I suppose it must take time.

He dropped off a tangerine hoodie at our house. Seems to be enjoying being back but can't wait for the real games to start. Really nice guy.

I was working near training ground on Friday and had a look over the fence,Jordan was sat talking to a bloke while the rest of the squad were running up and down the pitch ,wondered if he was injured slightly not joining in ?

We have a full squad, Appy is looking at all the players. Gabriel is going to be massive for us and I can't see him going anywhere. He clearly loves it here and he is going to play just about every game as long as he's fit. If we have the squad pretty much fully fit now, and we keep Bowler, how many players do we actually need? We are fine for keepers, we need a right back cover/competition for Gabriel, we need one or two creative midfielders but we do have Carey & Virtue and we could do with another winger. Our forward line is fine. So we could probably function pretty well with just 3 or 4 signings if we lost no one.

Of course, should we lose any players then they will need to be replaced. It's the first season in as long as I can remember that we have so many players still under contract. There are some I don't think are a fit for us but it depends what Appleton thinks not us. We will get new players but I'm not surprised there's no rush.

Gabriel? Love him!!

I believe he is taking it steady to begin with due to his recent hamstring problems

Personally, I want another Gabriel who can play left-back. Has he got a younger brother?

The clothing looks to be good quality, but it's for the younger generation and quite expensive.
Jordan is brilliant with our younger supporters and a great ambassador for our club.
He's clearly got a good business head, and is a sensible guy by not putting all his eggs into one basket. Footballers never know when their career is over.
Good luck Jordan and here's to a fantastic, injury free season 🍊

I'm wearing my Seasider tower power shorts again today and they usually gain a comment during the grandsons school run - the head teach being a toffee!
I also wore my home & away shorts around the pool, on holiday in Cambrils recently, but a bright tangerine hoodie at £60 is a step too far for a 60+ year old 🤣 🧡

It should be just right for. you, disposable income, my only concern is that he won't do a fat bastard size which would rule me out!!

He's already injured and the seasons not even started yet!!!

The coaching staff and Jordan himself need to analyse his style of play & training, identify how and why he's picking up so many injuries, and rectify the issues. Otherwise Jordan will have a shortened football career and a long one selling clothing. That would be a real shame & a waste of talent.
Footnote: I'm no doubt stating the obvious, as I'm sure this is already being done.
Good luck Jordan
