Good luck to him if he comes here. I do wonder about players development sometimes. Reading between the lines, at 17 he is highly rated. A number of bigger clubs come in for him, he chooses a club where he thinks he has a decent chance of first team football. But in the next 5 years he plays one competitive game for them. If he had stayed at Southend he might well have 100-150 first team games under his belt. Thats what Alex Baptiste had by that age and it helped him no end when he stepped up the leagues.

One of the Forest fans said that he was about to break into their team but got an injury that kept him out a while. He's been playing in their preseason and alot of their fans thought he would be in their first team this year. He seemed genuinely shocked that we could be getting him on loan.

Couldn't agree more.
 
Scunny fan I know compares him in style to Wan Bissaka.......strong in the tackle etc.

Says he'd hoped they'd get him back but realistically knew he'd be likely to step up.
 
Some Forest fans thoughts ..

Seems to have been used more of a centre back than full back recently.Plenty ahead of him in this position.Obviously we are vulnerable at TB with Jenkinson injured though.

Hope we loan him out and loan some big club's inferior replacement in instead. It's the future.

He had, to say the least, an interesting introduction to football involving top-level opposition last night. Dare I say that he didn't let himself down during his brief cameo, displaying a decent amount of physicality on a couple of occasions. Hopefully his injuries are behind him, and he can take the opportunity to show the type of ability that made him look a genuine prospect a couple of years ago.

Blackpool remain keen on signing Nottingham Forest defender Jordan Gabriel, according to reputable journalist Alan Nixon.
 
I suppose this could all hinge on whether Forest see Gabriel as being capable of now starting for them or whether they are looking to bring someone else in.
 
Can still see him coming in, but probably will be next week. Gives forest more of a chance to get a replacement in for him and Cash if they haven’t already.
 
Funny the clubs we’re now doing business with - Forest are another of those clubs I can’t remember the last time we got a player from?

Nixon said that he would have to play for them this weekend but we could get him next week. I dont really know what to think right now. Doesn't look great for us though.

Maybe the rumours were all about incentivising him?

I think someone posted that he’d been disappointed to hear he might be loaned out, as he’d been hoping to play regularly for the first team.
 
Looks like this is off and we could be getting Richardson from them at RB instead. He's only 20 so wouldnt count towards the player cap. Gives us more room for a CM or ST.
 
No point in getting a substitute RB from Forest unless he is better than or offers something different to what we currently have

According to Nixon we have enquired about getting him again. We might have a chance seen as though they just brought in another RB and he wasn't even in the squad this weekend.
