Jordan Thorniley

Keogh is in a different stratosphere to thorniley in my opinion… I think thorniley has a decent attitude and gives his best but for me he is nowhere near championship standard on a regular basis… I would have been happy for him to go … I’m pretty sure he realises he has no long term future here
Let's see how he performs for rest of the season. I am pretty sure both his and Robson's contracts will be extended as they have resale value especially if they do well in the Championship

Thorniley will be first choice back up to Keogh now with the Viking gone and Husband injured. The only reason he won’t play in a four is because we have Keogh and Marv, he was very good in a four last season. He’ll know he’s back up but he has every chance of getting in at a higher level than Oxford.

Robinson has always been a gobshite so no change there.

Not all that pleased about him in oxford’s away end last night to be completely honest. Bit poor from him considering the transfer saga with them.

People wrote him off middle of last season , was told could find another club Injuries and we needed him, performed very well, important part of the promotion run. Same shxt for the lad this season. forced back, staright in the team and performs very well.

He'll do me, good lad and a level of professionalism many would do well to match.

You say forced back as if we shouldn’t recall loan players when needed.

Didn't intend it to mean that, I am just emphasising that it was outwith his wishes or needs. Happy the club was playing hardball, but he was piggy in the middle, and yet reacted so well and professionally

Lack of pace
I don't think it was just about pace but positioning as well. Thorniley, was sometimes caught out by a ball over the top. I do think JT has been messed about though by both Blackpool and Oxford. With hindsight we could have put a price on Thorniley when he went out on loan (maybe we did) to Oxford. Those comments by Robinson might come back to haunt him if they fail to get promoted.

yes can’t argue with that 👍 suppose it would have been easy for him to sulk after recalling him from a very successful loan spell but he stepped up and performed well so credit to him for that.

I don’t think he will be in our long term plans but hope he has a successful career.

As much as I like our Manager, I can't understand his treatment of JT. He was publicly told to look for another club and yet whenever he has played for us he's never let us down. He's an absolute star in my eyes. I just don't get it...
Thorniley is playing well and lets no one down, but Critch is looking at players to take us, to the next level,.
I think Thorniley will be sold in summer and it will be a situation that suits both him and the club.
3 windows to our premier league squad.

Maybe he preferred Grettasson and Husband in the same position and was third choice?
Then Uncle Richard stole LCB.
NC has been brilliant on this loan the lad out to get a run of games and if we need him recall.

Which we have and he has been very good last two games exactly what the loan market is for it ain't all about PL sides loaning out Seamus Coleman and Joe Hart types.

Looked pretty good today 👍
They all played well today...was he in your top 7 Blackpool players today?...Bristol City were exceptionally poor and posed little threat...lets see how he goes on v Bournemouth and Coventry before we say hes improved enough to do a job...I read a lot of your posts Ginge and am not surprised in the least you take a contrary position to me...I disagree with almost all of your posts but I dont pull you up on them because you are entitled to your opinions even when they are wrong.

The good thing about having Thorniley in at LCB is that he's a natural leftie. It does make a difference and opens up the opportunity for those long raking cross-field balls like Evo used to play.
However King Kenny did hit the pass of the season from the LB spot with his right foot to Josh for his goal.

Was it King Kenny ? BBC website says Thorniley and elsewhere on AVFTT somebody said CJ . It was a hell of a pass .

Apologies if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but where was Marv yesterday, injured or rotation or what?

I think we look more solid with Thorniley in defence at the moment. If Marv is back NC may set us in the same formation as Fulham
