Josh Bowler Signs

We need at least 3 wide men with pace and the ability to beat a defender, this is a very good signing, the manager seems to identify when a player
is ready for the next stage of his development. Having played 30 games in the championship last season he tells us he learnt a lot more about playing mens football. I think its very promising.
 
Let's be honest, we don't really know which of these signings will succeed in the Championship and which won't. We do know that we have a pretty good recruitment system now, much better than we've had in many years, and we know players improve here, and are motivated to be here and to do well. Big factors in success.

A bit of a gamble this one, which probably explains the 1 year deal. We had enough bad luck with injuries last year and the last thing we need is to add to that. Does appear to have a lot of talent and potential to develop, so it's a tricky one to call. The length of time between published rumour and announcement also indicates a concern within the Club about his hip injury.

Tbf I’m probably being too negative, I’ll give him a chance in the shirt for sure - as in critch we trust. Just thought we’d be going for a few more tried and tested players / bigger names. Not the type of signing that makes fans want to rush to but a ST.

If fans dont want to rush out a buy a season ticket after the optimism, style of play and general direction the club are heading then they never will.
One player won't increase ST sales🤷‍♂️
 
Welcome Josh - we are putting together a sensible squad and many think with a bit of luck and continued good form we can survive this season - we then move foprwards from there

When we've smashed West Brom (away), Blackburn twice and the obvious we'll be ok

We’ve now got 4 genuinely pacy wingers with Bowler joining CJ, Dimi and Keshi.
That for me is ‘options’ and in a squad we need exactly that

Is Bowler in the same pace bracket as cj? Or anywhere near?

Don't we also need a left sided winger too as most of them play right preferably.

Probably never had that sort of recognition before. My mate is an Everton fan who'd never heard of him!
