Last night was abysmal for too many reasons

However, and im not liking calling this player out, but the keeper had a howler. All three, if not 2 of their shots should have been saved

Weve slagged off BPF but with him in the sticks I dont think they'd have been scored

Matters not, they scored, we lost .... but never play that keeper again

On another note, I was refreshing tk see CJ get pulled as Evo recognised that flank was weak. Lyons for me does so ku h more going forward than CJ does, better distribution and crossing and also gets into the box a lot ..... however, hes not a centre half !!

I don't think you could make one goalkeeper out of the pair of them.

BPF could be having the game of his life and he'd still chuck one into his own net whilst looking like a dog stood next to it's own turd.

Ravz looks scared of football or he only wanted this job to stay in the UK

In L1 when you're running a budget then sometimes sacrifices are made in certain positions like full back/keeper and the money goes on a goalscorer instead. But if there's an opportunity to sort and settle this position down in January then they definitely should. Even if it just means it helps us get a 0-0 instead of a 0-1.

BPF has improved, still has a mistake in him but no way he'd have let all those in, at least 1 less goal, maybe 2. Hes better than Ravizzoli.

With actual midfielders in midfield we'd have been far tougher to breach, but it was an efl Cup game and giving some players minutes, strong side around that but missing some key areas.
 
I don't either of them would hold a job down in League 1 and would struggle in league 2 .
National league quality and one of them is reputed to be on big big money .
That position is our weakest link .Shoot and you will be rewarded must be the mantra of the other 23 clubs in our division .

I have always said that Lyons is so weak defensively , just knocked off the ball too easily.

Got to agree mate. I have never known a player who lacks as much confidence.
IMO he is very poor indeed and the way he messes about when he has opposition players descending on him is ridiculous.

Said it when the both signed… we’ve got 2 backups. Neither would start for any top half league 1 club.

Agree but when he gets there no end product ie a goal. A wing back had to chip with more than the odd goal here or there or currently a miss
 
Crazy people on this thread are still defending BPF. Know a Leeds fan that was laughing at us when we signed him on loan! He's still awful and is a reason the defence is so shaky, we can't defend corners or set pieces and why we're in the relegation places! Why didn't we replace Grimshaw not like he went for free ffs!
 
Bit harsh on Ravizzoli. Certainly, the first and third were great finishes that no keeper saves. The defence made no attempt to stop the shots.

Don't agree with what you say about our goalie . At fault for the second ,but little chance with the other 3 . Also CJ was having a stinker ,yet Lyons is not much better . Needs someone else , I think Imray is on that wing and he should make a massive difference.
 
Harsh on BPF , he's been so much better than his start, he's not perfect and not as good as Tyrer, or Grimshaw imo, but as for Franco.... He's abysmal.

Bear in mind we spent decent money on fees and wages across the pitch this summer (for all the good it’s done us) we then scraped the barrel on a goalkeeper.
It’s fine having one of them as a backup but it’s like we have two league 1 backup goalkeepers.

I realise we won’t be paying all of BPFs wages , he’s on £16k a week but I’d wager we’re still paying as much for him as the other top earners. Hardly scraping the barrel .

I think it’s fair to say every time he’s played he’s failed to take his chance to impress. A better number two breathing down his neck and BPF’s concentration levels would likely be a lot better and far fewer errors. IMO he thinks being in a struggling BFC team at the foot of league one is beneath him and isn’t 200% committed
