From Leeds Christmas Fair.

Not half as good as it used to be, now spread all over the city rather than in one spot, which takes away some of the glitter.

If your going, make sure you have plenty of money or your cards aren't full. A pint of German Lager , a cup of mulled red wine and two wursts in bread cost a grand total of £34. Ridiculous prices.

It never used to be ‘that good’ - always overpriced tat in absurd mock-Bavarian stalls - but ok if you’re on board with watery lager in a wobbly plastic glass & equally £6.50 again for a sausage in a bun….

In fairness, some love ‘the experience’ @ Millennium Sq - but, yes, much going into the pockets of Leeds City Council.

Quelle surprise….

Just back from the PLF one.
Wasn’t too bad had live music a good few stalls and hot Greek food but disappointed no Bratwursts in sight. 🤷‍♂️
Had a couple of mulled wines at £4 each then walked over to the Elk for some late lunch.
£18.02 for Cod, chips, peas, and scampi chips, peas and comes with a pint included so £9.01 for each meal and drink unbelievable value. 😮

Wilf, that is a good deal mate. My daughter spent last weekend in Dublin and it cost £23 for a double gin. Absolute rip off. How the hell can they justify that?
Actually when people like my daughter and her friends are quite happy to pay that.

Their budget has been cut by close to a billion over the 14 years of Tory Government. Got to get it back somehow.

I went to the Manchester one about 10 years ago. It was dog shit, unless you're into supping over priced crap lager in the cold.I bought so called German food and ended up with horrific heartburn.
