Just heard Anthony Hartigan

Leaving Wimbledon - all fans on Twitter rate him very , very highly - all seem to think it’s a big loss for them .
Accurate passing midfielder - giving our strikers the much needed delivery ?

He's a holding midfielder. Do we really want another? Unless we have written Stewart off and we're going to get rid of Virtue?
Fingers crossed.

Stewart is probably the best footballer at the club when he is actually able to get on the pitch, it’s a shame he’s made out of angel delight.

Virtue is nothing more than a squad player at best for me.

Not sure why some are getting excited about players who have just got their club relegated to league 2.
Yes I accept he’s a young lad like Rudoni were also linked with but you can’t hide Wimbledon they’ve just had a terrible season and these 2 lads played most of it.

What a stupid way of looking at it. So you're essentially saying it's impossible to be a good player in a bad team?

Would you say the same about Jack Rudoni? A talented attacking midfielder at Wimbledon currently being chased by multiple championship clubs. But hey what can they possibly see in him, in your eyes he's just got his team relegated to League 2, they all must be wrong.

I’am not saying they are all wrong but I’am saying are they all that good?
Both players were pretty much the Wimbledon midfield last season and they got relegated.
I’am not writing either player off as age is on their side and if we sign them fair enough I’am just not getting the excitement some are that’s all I’am implying.
Out of the 2 I think Rudoni would excite me a little more though a midfielder who can score goals.

We simply can’t rely on Stewart anymore, he missed the back end of last season injured and now he could be out 6-8 weeks (l think longer given his record) with a stress fracture where's that come from?

Maybe a bit of long term planning, Stewart's contract is up at the end of the year, the club has an option for another year, but I can't see them exercising it unless he plays a lot of games this season, so get rid next summer and have his replacement already in place?

We got relegated and everyone wanted Adam, Vaughan etc.

If he signs as he is under 24 a fee will still have to be paid to Wimbledon even though he is out of contract.

Liverpool signed Robertson from Hull after their relegation, bet they regret that signing now.
Kevin Stewart and his injuries went the other way in one of those net spend offset deals that Liverpool like to do. Which ended up as a £4m move turned into a £0 release. And eventually led to us using some of the budget to pay him to come and be injured here for two years. Which could be a reason why we might be looking at the league two OOC market and hoping to find someone who can step up, cope in midfield and ideally not be injured.

The last two lines of this are a spectacular level of bullshit

If they're trying manage what they've got to spend and and work around who they're already spending it on then they're not going to be chasing too many already employed or making too many extravagant moves I wouldn't think. So I'd expect one or two like this. Need a midfielder and a right back because Callum Connolly can't do everything at the same time.

Willie Mcgrotty only scored one lg goal for Pool in a 2-3 home defeat to Forest in 70-71.⚽😜
To be fair Trammo I picked his name because I used to sometimes go to reserve games with my dad as a kid & chuckled at his name. He was on the bench when we beat bologna

Kev Stewart, yep its a real shame he cant stay fit. Interesting comment from Robertson at Liverpool and their famous lactate test that Milner always wins, even this year. Seems nowt wrong with Stewarts core fitness just keeps breaking down with knocks.

"I remember a few years ago Kev Stewart would give him a run for his money in pre-season. But considering his age and how long he’s played for, to still be the fittest player in arguably the fittest team in the world, and by some margin, that takes some doing."
