Just my opinion (re new manager)!

Would love the board to take their time to try to get ,what they consider the best person is for the position, but I would like think they will get someone in before the end of the season (maybe with six or seven matches still to play )as to give him or her😀 why not we would make history, time to look at the squad properly in real match time ,rather than in pre season friendlies( ,excluding the loan players we currently have) who will probably return to their parent clubs at the end of the season anyway ,it's highly unlikely that we will get dragged into a relegation fight only needing 4 wins to be safe .
Would like to hear other fans thoughts on this.

The problem at this time of the season is that all the managers in the best league positions won't want to leave their clubs as long as there's a chance of promotion.
How are the favoured ones doing at present?

I take your point Dave but there will be managers mid table etc who could already be thinking about what may happen to them come close season , one springs to mind (and yes I know we may have to bide our time ) that is Duncun Ferguson at Donny if they fail to get promoted ,plus I think there will be other managers even this late in the season could be shown the door !.

The way I look at it there are very few opportunities for managers who would be in contention for a job with us.

If they’re suitable for championship or Prem it’s unlikely they’d be coming out of the current Lge1 or 2 manager pool in this day and age.
If they’re any good and have any ambition they won’t be attracted to lge2.
And half of lge1 are dogsh!t clubs with few resources or real likelihood of getting anywhere.
Which leaves about ten clubs as possible opportunities and not many of them are looking for managers.

Makes us look a good bet for someone!
