Kaikai Signs for Wycombe.

That poses a dilemma. Sullay is pin-up of the month for July on the Club Calendar. Should I display a player who's no longer ours, even if he is in tangerine?

Yes I can! - for the memories of all those times when he played like a tangerine wizard! Thanks Sullay! 🍊🍊

Good luck Sullay, our cat's named after your middle name. He's bi-nomial really, that and Stanley (the cat not Sullay).

Players move on. If he'd been more consistent who knows, because apart from lacking a yard of pace, he did seem to have the skills required to be a top class performer. A bit of a conundrum really, as you'd see flashes of his talent, then he'd disappear in games. I wish him well of course & sometimes in football you have to find the right fit. I think his level is probably League 1, but he looks like he has the weapons in his armoury to compete in the Championship, barring the previously mentioned consistency.

It's too painful to comment.
He'll look all wrong in that twotone blue kit. I actually feel a sense of loss too. 🤠

What might have been. When he scored against Everton a year ago I sensed a great season was coming for Sullay.

Good luck Sullay! His performance against Shrews away made me want to never see him in tangerine ever again but some of his performances later in the season were sublime in spells.

Still got Gaz tho! 🧡

Let’s hope it goes well for him, but no offence to Wycombe, with his talent and ability he should be at a much higher level - application and consistency required.

Tbf he did,but as for the most part he was a total passenger, the bar wasn’t set too high.
I thought he always did well when used properly, maybe he doesn't operate in enough positions to fit in with the managers plans.
But when played more centrally as a number 10 I thought he did well, when played as a winger he often disappointed.
Anyway he has gone now and there is still time to add a bit of quality to our squad.

You could... but it would be a daft thing to say.. he’s never played in the Championship for a start
That's a daft thing to say because he played for Brentford in the Championship, and has played for Crystal Palace in the Premier League as well as in the top flight in Holland!

It's his hamstrings that seem to be the main issue. Both seasons with us got cut short because of the same issue.

Whereas Keshi Anderson, who has taken his shirt number and is a year older, hasn't done any of that. As yet. Apart from the injury bit. He needs a big season for us.

From what I've seen he's a different player. Much more Grant Ward than Sullay. I really liked what I saw.
I'm not saying they are the same, clearly not. Just one arrived, one left, vaguely similar area of the pitch, creative hopefully.

Bowler looks like the new Kaikai to me. He'll be the one that frustrates/delights. Different player but very much the one who seem to be more of an individual within the unit.

The little I saw gave the impression less of creativity and more of a really tidy, technically able player. He'll drive hard when there's space but doesn't seem like a box of tricks. What impressed me most was his calmness and simple work. He also played a lot deeper than I'd imagined him before hand.

Yeah same. He seems to have attacking instincts though, and may play further forward than he did at Southport, we'll see. Like the look of him.

Critchley based his set up around consistency- he needs 11 players rated 7&8 every game - just what he got from Olly Turton and James Husband. It’s how the team needs to function, all knowing their job, all doing the job. Sum of all parts / Moneyball approach in essence.

Kaikai is without doubt a 4 or 5 / 9 or 10 player. When he booms he lights up the pitch. Just remember that goal from the corner last season - wow! How many players can do that?
Then a week later, he forgets to track the runner, or doesn’t press when all press and basically goes missing delivering a 4 out of 10.
That doesn’t seem to fit Critches m.o. but could be fine at another team that is built to let the flair players break the monotony?

Ok 18 Championship games, 3 PL appearances and only 1 start in Holland. He’s just signed for Wycombe and been released by us for a reason. You’re right though, injury prone and in my opinion doesn’t apply himself properly.

"I'd describe myself as a player that likes to play with freedom and express myself on the pitch, and do things that probably most players don't do and bring excitement to the fans."
